Music Lesson Plan
Title: The Three Little Pigs Grade Level: K-2
Source: 20 Students
Materials needed:
*Easter eggs or water bottles *cardboard stage (optional)
*rice or beans *jingle bells
*shish kabob sticks *markers
*colorful tape
Procedure:
A.S: Have you ever made instruments before? Have you ever done
storytelling while using the instruments you made?
1. Have 10 students bring Easter eggs and the other half water bottles.
Teacher will provide rice for eggs and beans for water bottles.
2. Students will decorate their instruments.
3. Teacher will have prepared The Three Little Pigs backdrop and
houses. Attach shish kabob sticks to pigs, wolf, and houses.
4. Once the students have their instruments ready and teacher has her
backdrop and characters ready as well, they can start.
5. See attached storyline.
6. As teacher reads and sings, students are able to play the instrument as
well. Teacher will direct students accordingly.
Closure: Ask students if they liked interacting with the play using their
instruments? What other instruments can be made?
Educational Objective: By the end of this lesson, students will have learned how to
use homemade items to make instruments and incorporate it in a story.
