The Boeing AvionX Micro Navigation and Flight Controls Team is seeking a Mid-Career Electrical Design and
Analysis Engineer (Level 3) to join our team in St. Louis, MO/St. Charles, MO. This team which focuses on Small Size,
Weight and Power (SWaP) Computing and Navigation Solutions in support of various weapons and autonomous
systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership in the development of circuit card and digital logic designs
Requirements and interface definition
Modeling and analysis, testing, performance and design verification
Performing trade studies
Detailed circuit board troubleshooting
Project cost and schedule reporting
Supporting design meetings and assisting in making top level design decisions on final board design,
packaging design, test equipment design, software and firmware
Coordinating board and box level procurement activities and data items
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US
Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience in developing, capturing, and reviewing digital electronic requirements
1+ years experience designing, testing, and integrating a digital circuit card assembly.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience performing Signal Integrity analysis
Mentor Graphics schematic capture design experience
Knowledge of ASICs, FPGAs, Programmable Logic design
Embedded Firmware Design
Experience with Xilinx SoC and/or FPGA design
Experience designing complex high-speed high performance digital circuits utilizing the latest-generation
microprocessors, DSPs, and FPGAs
Experience validating designs through various methods of review, testing and analysis.
Identifies, tracks and statuses technical performance measures to measure progress and ensure compliance
with requirements
Provides engineering support throughout the life-cycle of the product.
Develops designs consistent with requirements and specifications.
Works in a multi-tasking environment while supporting multiple projects concurrently
Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from
an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor)
and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred,
although not required, accreditation standard.
