The front of your Business Rates Bill shows how much you have to pay. Payments must be made on or
before the first day of each month unless you pay by Direct Debit.
Direct Debit: is the cheapest, safest and most efficient way to pay your Business Rates. We offer the
choice of two payment dates: 1st or 15th of the month for Direct Debit payers. If you want to pay by
Direct Debit, you can either sign up online at www.sstaffs.gov.uk or by telephoning us.
Online payments: you can pay your Business Rates directly and securely using the 24 hour online
facility. Log on to our website: www.sstaffs.gov.uk/payments
Internet banking: you can pay by Banks Automated Clearing System (BACS). BACS payments can be
set up directly with your bank or through internet banking. When making BACS payments you will need
to quote: Your Business Rates Account Number: 5______, Sort Code: 20-81-18 and account number
23733254.
Telephone payments: can be made using a debit or credit card by telephoning our 24 hour Automated
Telephone Payment facility on 01902 696678.
At a Paypoint outlet: you can also pay your Business Rates at outlets where a Paypoint logo is
displayed. You must use the barcode shown on this notice. Please note that some outlets will only
accept cash payments.
Other payments: If paying by cheque, please ensure that you write your account number, your name
and the address of the property to which the payment relates on the back of your cheque.
Please be aware that payments made using Paypoint or cheque can take up to 5 days to be credited to
your account.
