system. Within the system health tab, click the Expand All button and your screen will appear
as below.
On the far right is a column named Errors and Warnings. Under this column will be all system
components that the system’s built in test determined as a potential problem in the component.
Components with yellow icons indicate a problem that is not detrimental to system operation but
should be addressed. Components with a red icon indicate a possible failure for system to
operate correctly and shall be addressed immediately.
Every level above the component that has the error or warning will have the icon with the red
block next to it.
6
If on a two or three screen system, there will be two or three different stations listed 1 through 3.
Under each station are the categories Cameras, Software, and Machines.
7
Any system errors will appear as yellow or red dots on the main System Health tab.
8
To stop an error from coming up in the Errors and Warnings column that you have determined
is false or unimportant, you can check the Suppress box next to the component you wish to stop

Only those weapons associated with a particular screen are visible. Weapons cannot be assigned
across screens.
Up to four weapons can be assigned per lane. Green highlights on a port indicate that a weapon
is plugged in. Gray slots indicated a port has been assigned but the weapon is not plugged in.
Black or opaque slot means no port has been assigned to the slot.

Scorecards
The Scorecard screen allows viewing, printing, and/or exporting all available scorecards within
the training system. The scorecards are simply the templates used to determine the performance
(pass, fail) of each soldier. The Scorecards column displays scorecards as well as tables.
Tables describe the action, condition and associated standards that must be met by the soldier
performing a certain practice or course. Additional information such as type of ammo, weaponry
and time allotted for the exercise can also be viewed from a table.
The Scorecard screen can be used by the Operator to review the type of course or practice for
the unit or group of soldiers to perform. The Operator can see what engagement is required for
the soldier to meet all requirements and pass the course; and how long the practice runs.
The figure below shows a Firing Table in the view pane of the Scorecard screen.
1. From the Maintenance tab, under the Reports column, click Scorecards.
2. From the Scorecards column, click any of the scorecards.
3. Optionally, click the search box (located to the right of the Scorecards column title bar).

making lane firing position assignments.
3. Make the necessary lane assignments in the Lane Assignments panel. If necessary, refer to
WP 0040, Lane Assignment, page 24, for details on or details on using the Lane Assignment
panel functions
36
4. Click Load Table tab. The Load Table screen appears.
Load Table
The Load Table screen is for selecting and loading a course (multiple tables) or single table
37
NOTE
Categories usually reflect the attributes of certain weaponry. The courseware reflects
courses and tables to help the soldier master a particular type of weaponry.
Options Tab
NOTE
It is not necessary to make any changes on the Options tab to advance to the Table tab
because the default settings meet the doctrinal requirements.
The Options tab is for altering the environmental, weapon, and ammunition settings in the
authored courseware.
Table Tab
The Table tab is where all runtime interactions with the EST II system occur. The selected range
and any associated options chosen on the Table side panel appear on the projection screen.
38
The Table screen appears when clicking the Table tab. The functions and capabilities on this
screen include:
• Runtime table control: play, pause, and stop the training.
• Scheduling or clearing one or more malfunctions.
• Real-time feedback on engaged targets, shots, traces, and sensors.
• Projection screen display options and indicators such as wind flag, point of aim (POA),
point of impact (POI), and target or other indicators soldiers can use to complete the
course or table successfully.
39
The below figure shows the selected range and associated options that the soldier will see on the
projection screen.
From the top of the UI, click the Analysis tab. The Analysis screen appears.
40
Target View
The Target view displays the target and where each shot hit the target. The operator can see the
target at each lane. A red dot is the last shot received on the target and all prior shots will be
grey. The operator can also see the trace marks as the soldier aimed and then aligned his weapon
for the next shot.
The operator can also use the multiple Selection buttons from the side panel to scroll through
each shot, or replay the entire table and view how the target was hit through the entire table
scenario. This gives the operator or instructor valuable feedback when addressing the soldier’s
performance.
NOTE
Not all weapons are equipped with all of the sensors that can be analyzed in this view.
If a weapon does not contain that particular sensor, the color-coded readout will be
blank on the Profile view.
NOTE
To display muzzle trace click details - Show shot - select the weapon to be displayed
Click play.
41
Profile View
The Profile view allows the operator to analyze certain physical sensors that are within the
weapons and view how the soldier performed as the table took place. For example, on some
weapons, the cant movement (CA) or trigger squeeze (TS) pressure can be detected and this
information is relayed into the training system as the table progresses. Within the Profile View,
the operator can see if the soldier applied proper TS pressure to the weapon or if the soldier was
using proper form when firing the weapon, and not causing undue CA to the weapon.
The Profile view displays the sensor detail for each shot taken during runtime and whether it was
a pass (green) or fail (red). There is a separate display for each weapon currently used for the
course or table that just completed.
Detail View
The Detail view displays a comprehensive view of the summary, target, and profile views plus
graphical sensor information for a single soldier. The Detail view displays all data from the
Summary, Sensor, and Target views plus real-time single-shot results and target overlay
(tracers, etc.) details.
42
Zero Weapons
The Zero Weapons view is only available for zeroing tables.
The Zeroing Weapons view allows the operator to have the soldier shoot at a target in order to
instruct the soldier on how to properly zero a weapon. The table is very quick and the target on
the projection screen is hit with a tight group of shots. Once the shots are accomplished, the
operator can view the Zero Weapons screen to determine if the shots were grouped to allow the
training system to then zero the weapon. If the shots group meets the authored doctrinal standard
Zero button to the right of the Zeroing Offsets (cm) column is active. Clicking the Zero button
zeros the weapon.
The operator can have all weapons fired in multiple lanes and then zero all the weapons at once
shots group meets the authored doctrinal standard the Zero will automatically zero.
