2. Tactical planning
3. Standing plans
4. Frequency
5. Business Prediction

WHAT’S NEW

Yes, there is indeed a very important relationship

between planning and performance. Studies of the planning-performance relationship have
concluded that formal planning is associated with positive financial performance, for the
most part, it’s more important to do a good job of planning and implementing the plans
than doing more extensive planning; the external environment is usually the reason why
companies that plan don’t achieve levels of performance; and the planning-performance
relationship seems to be influenced by the planning time frame.

WHAT I HAVE
LEARNED
Name the five steps in planning. Is there a particular step that could
be bypassed or eliminated? Explain your answer.
1. Define your goals by identifying desired outcomes in every specific ways.
2. Determine where you stand in relation to set goals; know your strengths and
weaknesses.
3. Develop premises regarding future conditions; anticipate future events, generate
alternative scenarios for what may happen; identify for each scenario the things that
may help or hinder progress toward your goals.
4. Analyze and choose among action alternatives; list and carefully evaluate possible
actions and choose the alternative most likely to accomplish goals.
5. Implement the plan and evaluate results; take corrective action and revise plans as
needed.
 No, there’s no particular step that can be eliminated because each and every step has own
importance. It can be the foundation to help you to ease and to facilitate what you are doing
as long as you’re following them. And having a plan helps you define a project’s full scope,
but it also allows you to remain focused, set priorities and goals, meet deadlines and
achieve your goals successfully.

WHAT’S NEW

How do you prepare yourself to adjust with the new set up of

education?
It’s difficult to set standards in the midst of pandemic. This global health crisis has
led to a myriad of problems, ranging from mental and physical health to bad Wi-Fi
connections to having a place to stay. We, students, stressed in ways we had never
imagined, and nothing about our current situation can be considered stable. However,
many of us tend to make excuses for ourselves, to others or in our minds, about our ability
to pull ourselves together to learn.
I prepare myself to adjust in this new system of education through planning the
things I need to do, including how shall I meet and communicate with my friends and
teachers. Well, we know that since we follow protocols, we can do communicating with
others virtually instead of in person or face-to-face.
Ultimately, starting a new school year in this environment means quite a bit more
patience and effort is required from everyone. We have to have sympathy for our peers and
professors, and we have to push ourselves further than what we thought we were capable
of. It’s going to require a lot of nuance―every difficult situation won’t be clear cut, and we’ll
have to ask questions we aren’t used to asking one another. We must take this opportunity
to learn and grow the best we can, even if maybe the economy isn’t.
