1. What characteristics or traits does this Canadian business leader embody to lead the organization?

From our conversation, I realize he has all the attributes of a powerful leader. He has the power to influence others, which is an

important aspect of leadership, especially he knows how to motivate people to get their work done. Communication is another of his

strong points. He chooses his words and expressions wisely and invites others to contribute their thoughts. He is a flexible person, so

when things don't go as planned, he makes new plans to accommodate changes in circumstances. Besides this, he possesses qualities

such as honesty, good judgment, problem-solving capabilities, and a willingness to support.

2. What conclusions can you make about the individual’s approach to motivating others in the organization?

As far as I can tell, this leader encourages his employees to focus their efforts in the right direction to increase their efficiency so the

task can be accomplished more efficiently to achieve the desired result. Therefore, it is important that the leader maintains a close eye

on the employee's satisfaction because every individual has different expectations and leaders direct them in a way to help them meet

these expectations as they strive to achieve the organization's goals. It's only possible when the right person is hired for the right job

and given enough time and resources to complete the job. Then measure their performance and communicate about the rewards for

their efficient task performance to ensure positive outcomes.

Section 3 – Personal Approach to Motivating Others

The leadership and motivation theories differ depending on the type of business that is conducted, and

they are also different depending on what steps are involved to accomplish a particular task. Manpower

is key for any business and the consequence depends entirely on them, and this is the reason why

placing the right person at work is so important. Further, by utilizing my acquired knowledge, I would

like to elaborate on this topic.

Motivation is essential at the office since employees spend the majority of their time there. It increases

productivity for individual employees, as well as the organization as a whole. Thus, leaders are

employed, and they are responsible for motivating their coworkers to fulfil the organization's goals.

They are always prepared for any situation because they are self-motivated, innovative, good listeners,

clear vision for long-range prospects and do things right. It is common for companies to motivate

employees in different ways. Furthermore, I plan to achieve leadership in the workplace by motivating

and guiding my team to achieve organizational goals. To begin with, I would focus on myself and

develop a positive attitude before start understanding others. By setting short-term goals for my

teammates, I motivate them and reward them for their efforts. Apart from this, monetary rewards

provide them with a boost to achieve the best possible results. Moreover, I would advise my company

that it should test candidates for emotional intelligence during the recruitment process. This is largely

due to the fact that the relevant employees are capable of leading the organization upward, as they are

self-motivated and well aware to control various emotions in different situations. Furthermore,

employees were hired after matching their skills and interests with the organization's profiles, so that

one should perform the task by pleasure not forcefully.

7
Section 4 - 10 Key Takeaways

The most important things I have learned is

1. According to Maslow's theory of human motivation, people typically fulfill their needs in the

sequence of survival, safety, love and belongingness, esteem, self-actualization, and finally

spiritual or transcendence needs.

2. Theory X and Theory Y of McGregor :these theories are based on the assumptions made by

managers about their employees.

• Managers that believe in Theory X assume that their employees are lazy, don't enjoy

working, and will avoid expending energy on it at all costs. As a result, managers bear

full accountability for the acts of their subordinates.

• In theory Y, a manager has a positive attitude toward his or her employees' ability to

work and believes that staff are not lazy, can enjoy their jobs, and will work hard to

achieve organisational goals. As a result, which boss is most likely to involve his

personnel in all productive activities.

3. Two-factor theory states that employee satisfaction and dissatisfaction are primarily

determined by two aspects: hygiene factors, such as working conditions, pay, and the quality

of supervision, and so on. Other motivational elements at work exist in addition to

recognition, advancement, and achievement. Managers should pay more attention to

cleanliness considerations than to people-motivating elements, according to this notion.

4. Equity theory is a contemporary theory in which the employee get motivated on the behalf on

what receive in return ( salary, benefits security) for their contribution (time, efforts,

experience) at work.

8
5. Transformational leadership is a theory of leadership where a leader works with the team to

achieve the organization's goal by providing proper guidance and motivation to workers and

promote trust and focus on leading and guiding.

6. In today's Canadian business environment, companies are using motivational techniques to

increase employee job satisfaction by giving employees different duties to perform, allowing

employees to speak with colleagues on the same project who work in different departments,

and allowing them to engage with clients.

7. In order to motivate employees, Canadian businesses alter the hours worked by allowing

employees to work at their own convenience, reducing workweeks, letting them accomplish

some or all of their work outside the office, and allowing two individuals to work on the same

task simultaneously.

8. Involving employees in managerial operations provides them greater autonomy and motivates

them to perform better because they feel like an important part of the organisation.

9. In a conflict scenario, an individual's vision and objective differ from the company's overall

vision. It is typical for people to disagree on occasion, generally due to mutual dislikes or

personality issues.

10. When an individual is set against a group or is unwilling or unable to conform to its dynamics,

that individual will not be able to stay with the team for long due to internal conflicts.
