IF I WERE AN INVENTOR…

You learned that necessity is the mother of inventions and innovations. Inventions are
not simply made, but are motivated by various social, political, cultural, and economic
contexts. In this task, you will address this question:” If you were an inventor, what
would you invent?”

In thinking about an invention, make sure that you come up with one that has not been
invented yet but is possible to be invented in the near future. On the space below,
sketch a draft of your invention then answer the questions that follow.

1. What is your invention? What does it do?

It is an ultrafine particles filter that is attachable to any exhaust (Tambutso). It filters out
the pollution from vehicle emission and can be used as fuel like coal.

2. How is your invention similar to or different from existing tools or technologies in


terms of function?

It is similar to a car aircon filter or cabin air filter but this one blocks out the ultrafine
particles and can use the UFP trapped and can be used as fuel/coal.

3. Why is there a need for this invention? How will this invention make the world a better
place to live in?

With this invention, it will help and create big improvement in our air environment and
our land environment. There will be less air pollution and create new source of
renewable or recyclable energy. This will create a cleaner earth for humans and better
health.
