1. Draft a plaint
Problem: The Plaintiff bank has advanced loan to the defendant and the defendant
having defaulted in repaying loan, the bank has to file a recovery suit.

2. Interlocutory Application
Problem: For non-appearance of the defendant on the summoned date, the Defendant
has been placed ex parte. Prepare an interlocutory application for setting aside the ex
parte order.

3. Written Statement
Problem: Prepare the written statement on behalf of the defendant in the above-
mentioned recovery suit

4. Execution Petition
Problem: Prepare the execution Petition on the behalf of the Petitioner bank (Decree-
holder) after the decree is passed in favour of the Petitioner Bank

5. Writ Petition
The petitioner is a lady who is married in Dubai and divorced in Dubai through online
service. She has returned to India and wants to change her name to reflect her current
marital status but the Passport authorities are not accepting her application based on
the divorce certificate issued in Dubai. She needs the new passport for accepting and
travelling abroad for an excellent job opportunity. Prepare a writ petition under
Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of writ of mandamus directing
the passport authorities to accept the application and issue a new passport with
changed name.

6. Appeal against an award in Motor Vehicle Claim


The Respondent-Claimant in the trial court (Motor accidents claims tribunal) is
appealing against the award passed in a Motor accidents claim u/s 173(1) of Motor
Vehicles Act, 1988 for enhancement of compensation. Prepare the appeal. (Note: an
appeal by a Claimant for a MVC case was dictated in the class as an example)
