Dear Parent
Greetings!
Hope you and your family members are safe!
“Learning never exhausts the mind!”
- Leonardo da Vinci

Where on one hand, the Pandemic created physical barriers among people and made it impossible for them to
meet, connect and share their thoughts through their physical presence, on the other hand, it opened the
doors to other avenues and channels of communication. These times made us realise once again how in
adversity, there could grow a seed of new learning and how our needs could motivate us to try newer ways to
fulfill our requirements.

Well, understanding technology and to be able to use the virtual and digital mediums is the need of the hour
and has become almost an integral part of our everyday lives. While we want our Children to acquire the
required digital skills, we do not want them to only see and use technology as CONSUMERS. We must support
our Children so that they understand technology, utilize it in order to CREATE applications and other virtual
platforms to enhance human interactions and better our society in many ways.

Digital literacy consists of skills, knowledge and understanding that enable critical thinking, creativity,
analytical thinking, problem-solving, discerning and safe practices with digital technologies. Hence, this year,
The Digital Literacy Championship, 2021 aims to promote deeper levels of understanding of the Artificial
Intelligence in Children and also giving them opportunities to create virtual means in order to solve some of
the authentic problems they encounter in their lives.
