The Department of English Language and Literature at Middle East
University, Jordan (MEU) and the Association of Professors of English and
Translation at Arab Universities (APETAU) are pleased to invite you to an
international conference entitled “Critical Approaches to Language,
Literature and Translation Studies”
This international conference will be the eighth international conference for (APETAU) and
the first for the Department of English Language and Literature at Middle East University,
Jordan (MEU). Selected refereed papers will be published in the Scopus-indexed (Q1)
International Journal of Arabic-English Studies (IJAES). There will be other publishing
opportunities. Keynote speakers will be announced later.

August 1, 2021: Deadline for Abstract submission
September 1, 2021: Notification of Acceptance
November1, 2021: Deadline for submission of full-length papers

Guidelines for Submission:
Abstract: 200-250 words in English, including rank, affiliation, email address and mailing
address for all authors. The title should be centered, uppercase for initials. Times New
Roman 12pt font size, single-spaced should be used. Please, send the document in Word
format as attachment (not in the body of the email) and include no more than six
keywords. Submissions will be evaluated by a peer-review committee. The conference
working language is English.
Conference Fee: 200$
The fee is payable in cash upon arrival at the conference and covers (APETAU) annual
membership fees, coffee breaks, two lunches, conference kit and certificate of attendance.
