MOVING TO VIRTUAL TEACHING: THE NEW NORMAL
School-based Webinar Series
June 1-5, 2020
RATIONALE:
One of the educators’ utmost responsibility is to unceasingly serve its purpose and
cope with its environmental challenges. Specifically, this worldwide health crisis, Covid-19
has interrupted the educational sector in the same way as other government agencies do.
Thus, in response to the Department of Education’s goal for “quality education”, a 5-day
online seminar-workshop on virtual teaching with the participation of the school
administrators and its teachers is proposed. This will highlight an encapsulated knowledge
on how to unlearn misconceptions with online teaching, get acquainted with setting up
virtual classrooms, and advancing teachers with the new normal on the continuous
instruction towards our learners. This webinar series is aimed to fall on the 1 st to the 5th of
June 2020.
OBJECTIVES
To provide alternatives to the face-to-face learning environment of the traditional
classroom
To provide opportunities for a more health-secured and flexible learning
To aid in the reconstruction of presenting materials, activities, and daily assignments
To assist familiarization of the virtual classroom
To build a community of technologically advanced educators
