Group Assignment
Topic: Project Valuation/Investment Appraisal

Issue date: 26/04/2021

Due date: 30/04/2021

Requirement:

- Write up an investment appraisal of your own project

- Present your own project, imagine you are trying to persuade investors (teacher and other
classmates) to invest in your project.

- Comment/evaluate others’ projects

Report structure:

1. Introduction: Introduce your business idea and your plan (for example your idea of openning
a restaurant, a english teching center, a gym center, a coffee shop, etc…)

2. Market plan, marketing plan, management plan….. (Briefly present)

3. Financial plan (should be more focused on), captial structure, calculate cost of capital., plan
for financing and deploying plan of capital employment

- Clearly state your initial investment. What does it include? Try to estimate as close to reality
as possible

- Forecast project revenues and operating expenses, capital expenditure, Net working capital
investment, business growth rate... prepare income statement, balance sheet, cashflow…, Not
only you need to forecast, but you also need to explain why and how you come up with those
forecast, be reasonable and practical.
