» Trellis should be strong and tall enough for growth habit of the plant
Net Trellis

Prepare the net:
» Place the strings through hoops in top and bottom
» Prepare poles (2.5 m) » Attached a string at top & bottom of pole
» Push 0.5 m in the soil » Pull tight
Pull the net between the poles:
» Tie net along poles
» Install net close to plant
» Pull net tight

Bitter gourd, Ridge gourd, Snake gourd, Bottle gourd, etc
Place poles and bamboo to create frame:
» Add thin bamboo for each transplant

» Place string through hoops in top and

Place the strings in each side of the frame.
Do not pull the strings tight yet:
» Pull net
» Adjust the strings, pull tight
» Tie the net to bamboo
After harvest, uproot or cut base of plants. Remove net and plants together.
Once plant debris is dry, clean net. Trellis nets can be reused for several crop cycles.
Other Trellis
If net is not available use other materials: strings, wire, bamboos.
For gourds, the system is the same, using more materials to cover the frame like a net
