IN THE SUPREME COURT OF INDIA

CIVIL APPELLATE JURISDICTION

CIVIL APPEAL NOS.4553-4554/2021

[@ SLP [C] NOS.25386-25387/2019]

DR NALINI KANTA TRIPATHY Appellant(s)

VERSUS

DR PRADYUTI DASH Respondent(s)

O R D E R

Leave granted.

We have heard learned counsel for the parties.

The appellant appears to be drawing a gross salary of about

Rs. 70,000/- while the respondent draws a salary of about

Rs. 25,000/-.

We are of the view that in the given situation there is no

question of the respondent getting any maintenance but the child

must get the maintenance. The child is only six years old. We are

of the view that the maintenance fixed by this Court as interim

maintenance of Rs.10,000/- per month for the child for his

maintenance would suffice apart from his school fee. Thus the

appellant will bear the burden of Rs. 10,000/- as maintenance to

the child plus the school fee which is paid for his education along

with arrears to be paid at the same rate.

The appeals stand disposed of.
