What is READING?
to receive or take in the sense of (letters,
symbols, etc.) especially by sight or touch
(Merriam Webster)
the process of looking at a series of written
symbols and getting meaning from them.
is the transaction with text. (Galda, 1993)
To read is to comprehend the meaning of
something written or printed by looking at and
interpreting the written or printed characters.
(Hank, 1983)
is the recognition of printed or written symbols
which serve as stimuli for the recall of
meanings built up through the reader's past
experience (Bond and Tinker, 1967)

of the Reading process.

2. COGNITIVE
