Special Graduate Trainee Engineers &


Diploma Holders on 2-year contract
Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) is a frontline player in the hydrocarbon sector for over
seven decades with consistent track record in youth development, especially for local
communities residing around its operational areas. As part of the company’s commitment for
capacity building of local skilled youth around its producing fields, PPL is pleased to offer a
2-year on- job training programme on contract to young engineers and diploma holders who
are domiciled residents of districts Dera Bugti, Kandhkot/ Kashmore, Matiari, Sanghar,
Rawalpindi/ Chakwal and Attock.
Applicants meeting the standard eligibility criteria provided below may appear for a written
test conducted by National Testing Service (NTS) in Karachi, Sukkur, Quetta and Rawalpindi.
Test date will be announced by NTS on their website.

Eligibility Criteria
1) SPECIAL GRADUATE TRAINEE ENGINEERS
Pakistani nationals with at least a bachelor’s degree in engineering (minimum 16 years of education)
in petroleum, mechanical, electrical, electronics, chemical or a degree related to these disciplines
recognized by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC)
2) SPECIAL TRAINEE DIPLOMA HOLDERS
Pakistani nationals with 3-year Diploma in Associate Engineering (DAE) in petroleum, mechanical,
electrical, electronics, chemical or diploma related to these disciplines recognized by Technical or
Secondary Board of Education
Only domiciled residents of the given areas meeting the above criteria are eligible to take the test
relevant to their category/ qualification as per the details given below:

How to Apply
Candidates meeting the above standard eligibility criteria may register themselves with NTS through
their website www.nts.org.pk latest by August 16, 2021 and paying a non-refundable fee (candidates
will pay 50 percent of the fee and the remaining 50 percent will be borne by PPL). Information on

Applications sent directly to PPL in contravention of the prescribed procedure will not be entertained.
Candidates securing minimum required NTS score will be selected on merit on the basis of number of
available trainee positions. Securing the minimum required NTS score of 40 percent marks does not
automatically entitle a candidate for further consideration.
