Science 7 - Fair Testing

The document describes a scientific experiment to observe how ice melts in different conditions. Students will place ice in two different locations, near a window and on a table, and record observations over three minutes to see which melts faster and why. They will use materials like ice, containers, a stopwatch and record data in a table to analyze the results scientifically.

ACTIVITY NO. 1.

1
SCIENTIFIC METHOD
I. Objectives
1. Conduct a simple experiment following scientific method
2. Can use their senses/skills to perform the experiment correctly

II. Hypothesis

III. Materials
2 pcs. Ice( same size)
2pcs. container enough to hold the ice (must be identical)
Stopwatch
Rag

IV. Procedure
1. Each group will have 2 set ups. Setup A ice in a container place in the table. Set-
up B ice in the container place near the window
2. Place the 2 set-ups in their respective area. Observe what happen to the ice right
after placing on the designated areas, after 2 minutes and after 3 minutes. Record
your observation on the table below.
3. Record the time each set-up the ice have started to melt.

V. Data and Result:
