At the end of this lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Improve their knowledge on how technology affects their everyday lives;
2. Understand the features of a static web page; and
3. Understand the features of a dynamic web page.

III. Procedure
A. Drill/Review:
1. Students will take a pre-test in order to determine how much they know about the use
of technology in general.
B. Activity
1. Discuss the topics about the current state of information and communication
technologies.
C. Analysis
Ask the students about the differences between a static and dynamic web page.
1. What is a static web page? Give at least three (3) definitions of it.
2. What is a dynamic web page? Give at least three (3) definitions of it.
D. Abstraction
Make a generalization about the current state of information and communications
technology.
1. What is ICT?
2. The Philippines has been dubbed as _____.
3. According to a 2012 survey done by the International Telecommunications Union,
for every Filipinos, the number of cellphones used is _____.

E. Application
Make a situational relation regarding with the concepts and use of information and
communications technology.

F. Evaluation
Provide a group activity for the students to differentiate static and dynamic web pages.
Directions: Look for ten (10) websites and classify them as static or dynamic. What
makes each website static or dynamic? Use the table below.

Make the students access their Facebook accounts. If not, assist them in creating their
Facebook account. Using their respective accounts, they will be posting anything with a
hashtag in order for the posts to be categorized properly.

Directions: Get a piece of short-sized bond paper. Use your imagination to create
your own website. That website could be one of the following:

Have the following required guidelines:
a.) It should have a website name (with a matching URL).
b.) It should have the drawing of the website’s interface.
c.) It should have the main contents and features of the website.
G. Assignment
Make the students access their Facebook accounts. They will have an opportunity to
create their own Facebook page that contains their field of interests.
Directions: Access your Facebook account on the Internet. Using your accounts, create
a Facebook page. For those creating a page for the first time, on your
Facebook page find a down arrow on the upper-right corner (  ), then
select “Create Page”.
Select your field of interest you would like to focus your page at (for
instance: movies, fashion, cars, gadgets, etc.). Once done, provide your
Facebook page with a profile photo and cover photo. Make sure that your
page can be accessed in public.

G. Assignment
Make the students access their Facebook accounts. They will have to identify the privacy
policy settings of certain websites.
Directions: Head to the library and access the Internet through a computer unit. Look
for at least one (1) social networking site. Look for the site’s privacy
policy, on which the link is typically found at the bottom of the page and
sometimes labeled as “Privacy”.
Write a summary on how the website handles private and public
information. Provide the sketch of the site’s interface if necessary.
