Differentiate Abrahamic, Dharmic and Daoic religions


- Abrahamic and Dharmic religions are both theology while Daoic religion are more on
Philosophy. Abrahamic faiths all humans are same, they are equal and all are creations of God
but not all religions or God are same. They are rigid monotheists they believe only in one God.
While Dharmic faith drive their values on humanity and love only as they don’t have Divine will
of God, they follow their own desires Lastly, Daoic religions they are focused on teachings
about how to be good person in society and some morally teachings about life.

2. What you have learned about World Religions?


-I’ve learned in this subject about beliefs and religion practices of several religions that
surround our daily lives can help us appreciate the impact of religion that we can have in our
lives and our world. The most important lesson I’ve learned in this subject is the beliefs of Islam
and the teaching of confucianism, on how Muslim to be so disciplined when it comes in their
religion and the teachings of Confucius that based in reality on what happening right now. Thus,
this subject helps me in building values like love, empathy, respect and harmony. Respecting
the other beliefs, having faith in god, don’t be hypocrite, having confident in yourself, be a
dragon in your own life battle and respecting elders.

3. List down five important uses of religions and explain your personal experience on each
use
The five important uses of religions are:
 Serves as our guide through our daily lives
 Having gender equality, not all women are weak. The beliefs of other religions are
different before but because of religions they more appreciate the presence of women
now that all of us have same strength to do our own responsibilities in life.
 All people have particular role and responsibilities to fulfill.
 Can help us to strengthen our faith in God.When sometimes you feel that you are
unwanted and worthless person, you just have to pray in God.
 Can help us to be positive person all the time, whatever obstacles came in our life we
know to find solutions in every problem.

4. A. In your own opinion, what is the most significant aspect of religion to an individual? To
society?
- In my own opinion, the most significant aspects of religion to an individual is the practices of
religion to be a good person that improves health, learning, economic well-being, self control,
self-esteem, and empathy. While in the society, the most aspects of religions to the society is
on how to have a civilized society that all person in the society have to be as one.
B. Can you think of an analogy to the study of world religions wherein the unity of religions
is emphasized?
- All of us has own belief and own religion practices that can guide us every day but
respecting other religions and being as one, we can have unity. In this world that full of chaos
and wrath we can stand and unearth the desired route, which leads us to the serene land.
Where there is still a place that unity of religions are emphasized and cherish.

C. What is the basis of predictions that religion will continue to be relevant in the 21st
century and beyond?
- I am sure that the religion in the 21st will continue the belief and practices of the people
regarding the religion that each of us believes in. Due to the changing new era, people's beliefs
are also changing, but there are still not lost beliefs in religions, we just need to cherish and
preserve the religion that we believe in. That way we can pass on the importance of religion to
the future generations that our religion has impact in our lives.

5. How did your beliefs affect your way of living?Cite an example...


- My beliefs affect my way of living by doing the right thing all the time because our beliefs that
we hold are an important part of our identity they may be religious, cultural or moral. Our
beliefs reflect who we are and how we live our lives.
