IV. SIMULATION STUDY

The operation performances of both the single phase p-q (a) the first load connected
theory and the sine multiplying method have been analyzed in
a single phase power system built in the MATLAB/Simulink.
The switching signals have been generated using hysteresis
control for both the harmonic extraction methods. The
hysteresis band limits have been set as +0.1 and -0.1. The PI
controller has been used to control the DC voltage of shunt
active power filters. Kp and Ki parameters of the PI controller
have been set as 0.98 and 1.78, respectively. The system
parameters are illustrated in Table I.
