Greetings from DPS Nacharam!

This is to inform you that our school, is conducting NATIONAL STANDARD EXAMINATION in Physics, Chemistry,
Biology and Astronomy organized by Indian Association of Physics Teachers for students of Classes XI and XII. These
examinations will be held on 24th November, 2019 (Sunday) in the school itself.
Important instructions regarding these examinations are as follows:
1. Students to download the student enrolment form from the website www.iapt.org.in
2. Duly filled enrolment form with fee of Rs.150 per subject is to be submitted to the respective class teacher latest by
11th September, 2019 (Wednesday)
3. Date of examination : 24th November, 2019 (Sunday)
4. NSEP 8:30 AM TO 10:30 AM
NSEC 11:00 AM TO 1:00 PM
NSEB 2:00 PM TO 4:00 PM
NSEA 2: 00 PM TO 4:00 PM
Since NSEB and NSEA are simultaneous, a student can opt only ONE out of two .
5. Last date for submission of enrolment form along with examination fee is 11th Sep, 2019.
6. For all the above mentioned examinations, the max marks are 240 with 80 multiple choice questions with negative
marking.
7. Level of examination: classes XI and XII.
8. PAST YEARS PAPERS: Separate booklets containing question papers with solutions / answers for past five years in
each in physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy are available at a cost of Rs 50/- per booklet. To obtain the past year papers
of NSE deposit the amount online or by NEFT in the below given account. Send the details with proof with your address
on email [email protected]. The booklet will be sent to you by registered post from Kanpur IAPT Registered
office.

9. Expected date of results of first stage: First week of January 2020.
10. Eligibility criteria for stage 2 leading to International Olympiad, a candidate must score equal to or greater than a minimum
admissible score (MAS). The MAS for a given subject will be 50% of the average of the top ten scores in that subject
rounded off to the nearest lower integer.
11. Probable date of stage 2 INO exam: Last week of January, 2020.
12. Expected date of result of stage 2 INO Exam is late week of February 2020.
13. Selected students in each subject attend orientation cum selection camp (OCSC) in respective discipline for about two
weeks at HOMI BHABHA CENTRE for SCIENCE EDUCATION (HBCSE, Mumbai). India team to participate in
International Olympiad is selected from the OCSC in the respective subject.
14. There is no other fees for INO stage2 and Camps.
15. Certificates & Awards :
a. Report card will be generated to all candidates above MAS and can be downloaded by the enrolled students.
b. Certificates are given to top 10 % students of every Centre.
c. Merit certificates are awarded to top 1% students in each state, in each subject.
d. Special Merit Certificates and a prize (book) will be awarded to National Top 1% students in Physics & Astronomy.
e. Gold medal is awarded to students selected for OCSC in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Astronomy.
