Topic Expressing hope, prayer, and congratulations
Time Allocation 10 x 40 minutes (5 meetings)
IMTAQ
"There is no Muslim who prays goodness for his brother (fellow Muslim)
without his knowledge, but the angels will say, "And for you the same
goodness." (HR. Muslim no. 4912).
Learning Objectives After participating in a series of learning activities, students will be able to:
1. communicate integrated verbally and in writing about expressing
hopes, prayers, and congratulations on a happiness and achievement,
2. respond to it for the purpose of maintaining interpersonal
relationships with teachers and friends, contextually by paying
attention to social functions, text structure and appropriate linguistic
elements.
Learning Steps First Meeting
PRE ACTIVITY (10 minutes)
1. Greeting, praying and preparing the students to start the class
2. Warming-up and energizing
WHILST ACTIVITY (60 minutes)
During the learning process in class, students participate actively, cooperate
with friends, and take advantage of the teacher's guidance:
1. Reiterating the difference between expressions of hope or prayer and
congratulations
2. Match the expression with the response to express wishes or prayers
and congratulations
3. Write a response that expresses hope or prayer and congratulations
for some of the expressions that are already available
4. Match multiple situations with the right response
5. Ask and answer questions about the social function, text structure,
and linguistic elements of these expressions and responses in general
and at a glance
6. Create individual dialogues based on one of the situations
7. Read the dialogue with the help of a friend
8. put the dialog into the portfolio file
9. During the learning process always get input and feedback from
teachers/friends to improve mastery of linguistic elements used orally
and in writing.
POST ACTIVITY (10 minutes)
1. Students and teachers provide feedback on the learning process and
results.

1. Greeting, praying and checking the students’ readiness
2. The teacher reviews the vocabulary and dialogue taught yesterday
WHILST ACTIVITY (60 minutes)
During the learning process in class, students participate actively, cooperate
with friends, and take advantage of teacher guidance:
1. Listening interactively to the dialogue about congratulating friends
who achieved achievements
2. Listening to the congratulatory cards
3. Ask and answer questions about the social function, text structure, and
linguistic elements of the cards in general and at a glance
4. Recognize the difference between expressions of hope or prayer and
congratulation
5. Looking for some other expressions to express wishes or prayers and
congratulations
6. Make a dialogue to congratulate your partner
7. Role play with your partner
8. Make greeting cards based on certain situations with friends
9. Reading greeting cards
10. insert the greeting card into the portfolio file
11. During the learning process always get input and feedback from
teachers/friends to improve mastery of linguistic elements used orally
and in writing.

responses with 5 events.

class

3. Together with the teacher make a greeting card from the situation
4. Ask and answer questions about the social function, text structure,
and linguistic elements of these expressions and responses in general
and at a glance
5. Together with a partner make 3 greeting cards from the situation
6. Presenting greeting cards with your partner in front of the class
7. Post one of the best of each greeting card made by each pair on the
classroom wall
8. Add 2 more from each pair to the portfolio file
9. reflect on one's own achievements
