 ABSTRACT

In India the main livelihood of the majoritarian population here is through farming who dwell in
villages and feed the whole country. Food is one of the basic necessities of a human being,
which is fulfilled by the farmers. However, they fail to get the proper price of the stock they sell
in the market. Hence, they are deprived from getting profits for their stock. AGROCRAFT helps
them in getting a proper price for their stock and even get profit for their efforts. In our
application Farmers can register by filling their details in our android application and then they
can upload their products which can be fruits or vegetables. They can also edit their product
details or delete their product as per their need. Once their products are successfully uploaded
it would be saved in our database and visible to buyers. The buyers then further can filter these
products by the price range and their location and then they can buy these products as per
their need. After buying they can confirm their product and proceed to checkout. Once they
purchase the product they can give the ratings and reviews of that product. They also have an
additional feature of bookmarks where they would be notified every time when the farmer
would upload the product. This is how Agrocraft would help the farmers to sell their product at
a better rate and make a good amount of profit for themselves.

1. Introduction
In today's time, there is quite a rise in online shopping and the e-commerce domain is booming.
E-commerce solves a lot of problems as far as profits and ease of shopping is concerned.
Agrocraft, is one such portal that facilitates the basic but influencing idea of providing farmers
in rural areas of India to sell products PAN India. Buyers from across the country can buy these
products with a few clicks. Agrocraft aims at eliminating multiple middlemen that often cause a
surge in prices unnecessarily which results in farmers in selling at very low prices with little to
null profit and buyers buying the same products at elevated prices.

1.1 Problem Statement

Agrocraft is an application with a pure vision to help farmers and buyers by removing the
system of middlemen. It's an ecommerce application where farmers can sell their products and
buyers can buy them at very reasonable prices because the middleman is completely avoided.
2. Literature Review
2.1 Existing System

In the paper “Android App to Connect Farmers to Retailers and Food Processing Industry ”, the
authors Mr. Pranav Shriram, Mr. Sunil Mhamane [1] proposes a system that provides market
information to a farmer using its easy interface . The mobile application is intended to be used
for a fast and updated information delivery system for farmers. Also, it has native language
support to make the transaction easy for farmers. The mobile application treats farmers as a
seller and a buyer. The intention behind this paper is to help farmers so they buy or sell their
agriculture goods and products. Market prices provided by data.gov.in lets the system keep the
selling and buying prices in control. As the products are to be browsed and there may be plenty
of products for the user. To make browsing easy many filters can be provided. Farmers face
many problems while selling their goods and products, this system promises to provide an easy
and recreational way to sell the products. The system lets the farmers sell goods at a
reasonable price and makes business even fair and transparent. Consumers are the opposite
side of the same coin. This system lets consumers choose from a wide variety of products,
select the product as per their requirement and also to apply price filters. Location is a one of
parameter for consumer and producer while selling or buying their product it will help the user
to get the product nearby their location. The basic objective of the system is to considers
everyone need and full fills their requirement with fair and transparent agriculture business

The paper “Android app solution for farmers and buyers to sell and buy products without any
broker involved”. written by Dr. H. Lilly Beaulah1 and Mrs. Latha P S [2]. system provides all kind
of help that a farmer needs to know about harvesting the crops, start to the end process is
included in the proposed application where the farmers can easily get the information on soil
condition and best way to irrigation process as well as the present year market value of the
products and new techniques of harvesting the crops. The proposed application helps in selling
the products directly to the buyers without intervention of any third person (mediators) with
the help of options present in application. It cures all issues of the existing system as it reaches
everyone and can be accessible by every farmer. The application proposes new techniques of
harvesting from many other successful farmers, It also includes image upload option where one
can easily do.

In the paper “SELLING & BUYING AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS USING ANDROID APPLICATION”,
author Sahil Parmar 1 , K Sai Kishan 1 , Karri Sai Murali 1 , Shantanu Bikram Karki1 , Shilpa K S 2
[3], have proposed an application that can help farmers can directly sell their own products to
customer with no broker, customers can directly contact to farmers , Farmers can sell their own
products retail or wholesale according to their quantity of production in the farming to the
customer directly, To get aware of all these problems and to get knowledge to the farmers this
application is needed and,To bring the choice to any kind of farmer to create an environment
that will let them buy or sell their agricultural products,Languages used Java,Language available
Hindi, English, Technologies using Android Application.
Farmers E Market[4] is a mobile app totally dedicated to farmers to display and sell their
products. The Farmers’ Club of Thodupuzha has succeeded in developing a mobile app for
farmers. A farmer or public can use it for buying or selling their agricultural products, animals,
Poultry, fishes, dairy and other farm products, nursery and gardening items. It is a good platform
for those who want to sell and buy used vehicles, Agricultural machinery, Farmers Inventions,
Seeds, Flowers, Birds, and Home made products. The E-payment and Online services make it a
cash or paperless market. If a farmer wants to buy or subscribe to some agricultural books or
periodicals there is a special section fully devoted to that purpose. Advertisers find it as an awe-
inspiring potential platform to promote their goods and services as the site and app already
convulsed the Kerala market.

Another application in the Play Store is Vithai - Buy & Sell Farm Produce Nearby online [5].
Vithai provides an ability for the consumers to interact with sellers directly via chat. This way
consumers get all the required information without getting into a phone call. Using chat,
consumers get price negotiation, find a common place to sell/buy products and finally a happy
buying. Vithai also helps the farmers to sell the produce wholesale through bulk items options.
The agriculture intermediators or factories/mills can directly find the farmers who are selling
wholesale produce. Anyone can post the agri produce who is a farmer or home gardener. App
deals with both retail and wholesale buyers and sellers. Provides live interaction through chat
to deal with prices, location and get more details about the products.. You get search facility to
looks for what you want and also helps you get nearby farm products by filtering the kilometers
.Finally following are the produces you will get exclusively in the app: vegetables, fruits,
spinach, millet, live stocks, variety of eggs, pulses, spices ,flowers and more.

One of the applications available on playstore is the AgriApp: Smart Farming App for Indian
Agriculture [6]. AgriApp is an Android-based mobile application. AgriApp is also an online
marketplace for bringing in farmers, Agri input, retailers & fulfillment services on a common
digital platform. AgriApp is powered by passionate professionals and dreams about making
agriculture more sustainable, in terms of both ecology and economy, with the help of
technology in a short time. This is an agriculture app for farmers that will be greatly beneficial
to the farming community. AgriApp is an all-encompassing ag-tech feature such as ICT, IoT, Big-
Data, e-Commerce, and m-Commerce with an intent to bring the technology to the field of
agriculture and food sector to provide smart farming solutions. They work on precision and
predictive agriculture while building a strong Agri-Ecosystem for the benefit of farmers and
make healthy soil and happy farmers with better returns on the investment for farmers.
AgriApp works to fill the gap between farmers and accurate strategic Agricultural information,
with the involvement of Agriculture Experts. Thus, enabling farmers to reach high-efficiency
technology-enabled agriculture production and marketing of the Agriculture produce, ensuring
a win-win situation to Farmers and Agriculture Economy.
2.2 Statistics

3. Architecture Flow
3.1 Use case Diagram

Once the farmer is logged in he can upload the product. Later he can edit or delete the
products as per his requirements. Once the buyer is authenticated, he can view all the
products. Ratings and reviews for verified products are provided in our portal. Buyer can add or
remove the products from the cart as per his requirement. Later he can place the order by
entering the shipping and payment details. There are multiple additional features like Save for
later, subscription feature, repeat the previous order, etc which can be implemented in the
later versions of our application.
