I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:
a. differentiate creative writing from other forms of writing;
b. learn the various genres in creative writing;
c. explore creative writing as an art and how different it is from
other forms.
d. describe characteristics, strengths, weaknesses, and kinds of
genres of creative writing.
e. understands what it means to be a creative writer.
f. employ best practices and good working habits of a writer; and
g. become mindful of the process of writing using a journal
DAY 1

Formative Assessment
Have the students learn some prompts that they may use to
jump-start their writing or even use some as journal entries.

Let the students learn what are the difference between creative
writing and technical writing.
C. Presentation of the Lesson

Discuss the different types of creating and an example prompts that
the students may use in writing.

Have the students write in their own words about their
understanding about creative and technical writing.
