Additional skew correction adjustment

Background
In some cases the skew correction for DF by the rear hinge is not sufficient.
The additional adjustment is used in general by factory only.
Specification
Specification of max skew for DF
DF scan : + - 0,5% ( A4 LEF = 1,5 mm )
DF copy : + - 0,7% ( A4 LEF = 2,0 mm )
Usage
Before any mechanical adjustment for DF will be done, first check printer skew and image
adjustments.
1.) Check how the edges of the chart are misaligned. The amount of the deviation of the chart will be X
2.) Place the chart in the document feeding tray (with the side having an arrow facing up).
3.) Make copies 5 times repeatedly in single side mode.

4.) Fold all 5 sample copies as illustrated and check for any deviation. Deviation on the sample
will be Y.
5.) Obtain the difference between the deviation of the chart and the deviation of the sample.
Difference of the deviation = Y - X (Specifications: + - 2 mm)
- When the difference of the deviation is + (plus),
adjust the registration roller of adjustment plate to the upstream direction
- When the difference of the deviation is - (minus),
adjust the registration roller of adjustment plate to the downstream direction.
Note:
Do not adjust more than one scale.
