ABOUT COEP
Established in 1854, College Of Engineering, Pune is the 3rd oldest
Engineering college in Asia. Being one of the foremost, premier
institutes in the country, COEP believes in imparting values of Strength,
Truth, Endurance, Ethics and Reverence not just to its students, but to
all those who are a part of it.
COEP has several notable alumni including Padma Vibhushan awardee,
Mr. Vijay Kelkar, Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Mr. Laxman Narasimhan,
Mrs. Lila Poonawalla and numerous others across various fields.
While academic excellence is the prime focus at COEP, the college gives
enormous importance to co-curricular and extra curricular activities.
With over 32 different clubs, one is bound to find and excel in their
interests.
ABOUT US
MindSpark is the annual, national level technical festival of College of
Engineering, Pune. Over a span of 13 years, MindSpark has grown to
become one of the biggest technical college fests in the country.
Mindspark is more than just a college fest. With its workshop series, one
is able to learn, and apply his skills, in both, technical non-technical
fields. The 3-day extravaganza comprises of 58+ events, a Technical
Exhibition and a keynote lecture series. MindSpark realises the
importance of critical thinking, and hence, conducts Genius Junior: an
aptitude test for school going children, every year.
Being a complete student organised event, we at mindSpark, are
grateful towards the college faculties, sponsors and its beloved alumini
for their invaluable support, without whom, MindSpark is merely, an
idea.
THE VIRTUAL PHASE
Since its inception in 2007, MindSpark has grown with each passing
edition to become an event that is looked up by students and
organizations across the nation. An increase in need for social
distancing and supporting the digital revolution has encouraged us to
conduct this multi-scale physical event as a virtual one.
Even in this time of crisis, it is important that one continues to learn.
Keeping this in mind, MindSpark seeks to conduct its events virtually,
thus providing a platform for students across the globe to learn,
develop and apply their knowledge.

GENIUS JUNIOR
In today’s world, you cannot afford to be the master of one; you must
be a jack of all. The all round development of a student is invaluable.
The ability of a student to think independently and logically may help
him not just in his academics, but in several facets of his life. With a
motive to promote inquisitiveness in students, MindSpark, in 2015
started Genius Junior- an aptitude contest aimed at helping students
understand their analytical, logical reasoning and problem solving
abilities.
Over the years, Genius Junior has had a tremendous increase in its
popularity throughout coaching institutes and schools, not just in
India but across the Middle East as well.

MindSpark’s Technical Exhibition showcases a plethora of innovative
ideas, research and cutting edge technology from all around the
globe.
Technical exhibition is a magnificent platform for organizations and
start-ups to spread their innovations, connect with industry experts
and investors across India.
INS Shivaji, Mazagon Docks- India’s largest shipbuilders, Bomb
detection and disposal squad, laboratories of DRDO such as ARDE &
RNDE were amongst a few key exhibits at TechExpo 3.0.
