Oxford Lesson 10

This lesson plan focuses on teaching modal auxiliary verbs and metaphors/idioms related to the body. Students will review modal verbs of probability in the past through a grammar reference and activity. They will then learn about the discovery of Richard III through a reading and questions requiring modal verbs. Students will practice identifying the probability expressed by different modal verbs and complete sentences using modal verbs in the past tense. The lesson also covers analyzing and replacing body-related metaphors and idioms through paired, group, and listening activities. It concludes with a card game to practice completing phrases using metaphors and idioms.
