Why is selecting computer hardware and software for the organization an important business
decision?
          Information Technology brings a significant impact, especially in the business world. Many
business organizations attained ultimate successes due to their IT assets. However, it all depends on wise
selection and decision. The collaborative work of hardware and software that fits the business's objective
and goal, improves its performance, boosts its quality production, increases business credibility, and gains
competitive advantage. The exact computer hardware and software caters the need of both the business
and its consumers. However, computer hardware and software need more time allocation and costly to
acquire as it is used in every business area. The usefulness should not just be FOR NOW but FOR THE
LONG RUN. For this reason, as a manager or a business owner, a definite business decision is a MUST.
They should primarily analyze the purpose of embarking a new one, thinking whether it is really a NEED
or simply a TREND. Thus, selecting computer hardware and software is an important business decision
because it is a business necessity. They are needed for the business to run efficiently and it is a valuable
investment. THEY MUST CHOOSE/DECIDE WISELY so that everything will not in vain since every
move in the world of business results domino effect. 

2. What people, organization, and technological issues should be considered when selecting
computer hardware and software?
         When selecting computer hardware and software, the retention and engagement of employees must
take into consideration. A manager or business owner must also evaluate the number of manpower
needed and ensure that their employees possess the right skills, mindsets, and behaviors  so that they
can easily be trained and adapt as they embark and select new computer hardware and software. Aside
from employees, the preference and numbers of customers must taken to account because IT assets are
not just for the business alone but also for customers.  The hardware and software must cater all the need
of both employees and customers, making their lives more convenient and efficient. In addition, the
consistency of the department's productivity, collaboration, and order must take into consideration.
Lastly, technological issues such as data security and privacy, technology maintenance cost, speed, etc.,
must be evaluated. The consideration and evaluation of those factors help the management develop a wise
decision and ensure that their investment of IT assets is worth it.
