based on the LR Map can you recommend to them?
I think textbooks with accurate contents and information can also be used as
resources for the learners to become more reliable in accomplishing their learning
tasks.
b. Do the schools have complete LRs for the LDMs they have chosen? If the LRs are
not complete or not available, what steps will you take to help them make these
available?
Yes, the school has complete LRs for the LDMs.
c. What other supplementary materials can you recommend or provide in order to
complement the LDMs adopted by the schools?
Learning resources from other institutions, preferably with higher standards of
learning.
d. Based on your assessment of these LRs, are they appropriate for the level and
characteristics of learners? Are there learners who might be disadvantaged by the
materials (reading ability, level of learning independence, level of household support,
distance)? What adjustments will you suggest in terms of the LRs?
Yes, they are appropriate. There might be some learners who are disadvantaged
by the materials. Adjustments would be modifying the material to the most
appropriate to different groups of learners and providing realistic intervention to
them.

I will provide them more related resources by giving the link on the internet, conducting
articulation of the different learning areas to come up with learning tasks that are related to
the subjects involved. I will also suggest to do an integration between subject areas that
are closely related and construct learning tasks/activities that the students will apply in real
life. Values integration in every lesson is also very important to learners to develop their
character.

1. Given the LDMs adopted by the Schools assigned to you, how can the two DepEd portals
respond to their LR needs and those of your learners’? How do they complement the LRs
that the Schools already have?
LRs from the two DepEd portals are also very useful to the learners. The contents of
the LRs are well-detailed and the learning tasks are appropriate to the needs of the
learners, just like the proposed LMDs of the school.
2. What are the challenges in accessing the LRs in the portals for you, the teachers, and the
learners? How will you overcome these challenges?
There are some subjects in the portal that doesn’t have LRs yet, so it cannot be
access by anyone who needs it. The best way to overcome these challenges would
be try to access to different portals that have LRs and accessible to teachers and
learners.
3. What support will you need to be able to maximize the use of the LR Portals? From whom
can you get this support?
Recommend only what is accessible and the content is appropriate to both teachers
and learners. Principals, head teachers and other teachers who have enough
knowledge could help me in this matter.
ACTIVITY 2
LR portals may be useful to both learners and teachers to support the teaching-learning
process. It contains the curriculum guides in different subject areas that the teacher uses to
create his/her lesson planning/designing, sample modules that can be used by the learners
which contains a lot of learning tasks to improve their learning process, and it can also be
used as a reference by the teachers.

Yes, the specific question is “Is it free from red flags on possible copyright and
plagiarism issues?”. I answered it “cannot be determined because no reference/s is
indicated in the material.

assessed? Specify which aspect/s.
It is important that every lesson, whatever subject area it is, should have a life
connection that help the learners. Variety of activities is also essential to boost the
interest of the learners.
4. How does this exercise help you in picking the right and appropriate LRs for your lesson
and your learners?
It helps me to identify what kind of learning tasks I will give to the learners, how to
discuss the lesson with ease, and provide different kinds of intervention to improve the
learning process of the learners.

LRs from non-DepEd portals have almost the same content as the LRs from DepEd
portals in terms of content, learning tasks and discussions.

both from DepEd and Non-DepEd portals — still need?
All LRs from both DepEd and Non-DepEd portals should have references to be free from
red flags on possible copyright and plagiarism issues.
3. How does this exercise help you in picking the right and appropriate LRs for your lesson
and your learners?
By choosing the best learning tasks that I will give to the learners and it helps me to
improve the content of my LRs.

It is very important to choose appropriate LRs for teachers and students because it will help
them to make the teaching-learning process easier and to avoid some misconceptions to
the part of the learners. Appropriate LRs may also help the teachers in selecting the most
