A screwed (RP31) and socket weld (RP32) carbon steel piston
type, in line stop valve for use on steam, condensate and liquid
systems.
Sizes and pipe connections
½", ¾", 1", 1½", 2" screwed BSP to BS 21 / DIN 2999, NPT to ANSI
B 2.1 or socket weld ends to ANSI B 16.11 (Rating: API 602 - 800Ib)
Alternative sizes and end connections available on request. 8

How to order spares

Installation
Install in the direction of flow given by the arrow on the body with the
handwheel in a suitable position. Refer to relevant IMI for full
installation and maintenance instructions.
Maintenance
The piston valve is designed for either bonnet assembly replacement
which includes all the necessary internal parts, or simple in line
replacement of the upper and lower sealing rings.
Note: Before attempting to carry out any maintenance ensure the
valve is fully isolated and any internal pressure is relieved. To 2 5
eliminate the risk of burns allow hot parts to cool.
To replace the bonnet assembly and sealing rings
Close the piston valve.
Remove bonnet nuts and washers. Recommended tightening torques
Withdraw the bonnet complete with spindle and piston.
Remove the upper sealing ring, lantern bush and lower sealing ring. or
Ensure inside surfaces of valve are clean. Item Size Nm

Fit new lower sealing ring, replace lantern bush (new one if supplied)
and fit new upper sealing ring. DN15 - ½" 14 8
Refit bonnet complete with spindle and piston and tighten nuts to the
