Paper2 GED105

Globalization affects families in economic, political, and cultural ways. Economically, it can lead to more international commerce and job opportunities abroad, but some families struggle to compete globally. Politically, it connects family discussions but international organizations lack democracy. Culturally, it increases understanding of other cultures through online networks but may threaten local traditions. Overall, while globalization presents challenges, families that embrace opportunities can benefit.

Globalization

(Word count: 1,159)

How Globalization affects family life is one of the most challenging subjects on

the families and households' definition. Globalization is the process of people and

businesses connecting around the world, resulting in cultural, political, and economic

convergence. It is the ability to freely move around the world and communicate with

people in order to conduct international commerce. The way governments, businesses,

and individuals interact is changing as a result of Globalization. It alters the character of

international economic activity by expanding commerce, establishing global supply

chains, and facilitating access to natural resources and labor markets. In many cases,

the quality of life for individuals living in developing countries has improved. Because of

the worldwide growth of businesses, many emerging countries have seen an increase in

their level of life due to improved roads and transportation, improved health care, and

higher education as a result of Globalization. There is three main types of Globalization,

economic, political, and cultural globalization. The growth of trade systems inside

transnational entities such as companies or NGOs is called economic Globalization.

Financial Globalization is associated with developing a worldwide financial system

based on international financial and monetary transactions. The term "political

globalization" refers to expanding the global political system in terms of both size and

complexity. Political Globalization is one of the three significant elements of

Globalization widely discussed in academic literature. Cultural Globalization is a

process in which the uniformity of cultural expressions throughout the world is reflected

in everyday life as affected by the dissemination of commodities and ideas. Although

homogenizing effects occur, they are far from producing anything resembling a single

global culture. I have many experiences in Globalization in my own family. Some of

them are economic, political, and cultural Globalization. To be sincerely speaking in my

humble opinion without being sentimental and of course without offending anyone who

thinks differently from my opinion but rather looking into this serious matter with

perspective distinction and without condemning anyone's point of view, I honestly think

and believe that Globalization in the family is crucial.

Globalization in the family has economic effects, and it can be positive and be

harmful. Economic Globalization refers to the expansion of trade systems inside

transnational institutions such as corporations or non-governmental organizations. The

emergence of a global financial system based on international financial and monetary

transactions is known as financial Globalization. On the positive side of Globalization

that has economic effects on the family; Economic Globalization, according to global

optimists, has resulted in more commerce, which has led to massive economic

development and more incredible wealth, which has been associated with falling birth

rates and family sizes. More families are stretched over national borders and have

family members living abroad due to increased migration, which promotes Globalization

by allowing more families to retain touch through media and actual visits. On the

negative of Globalization that has economic effects on the family; Some countries are

finding it difficult to compete. Many families in the world cannot compete with others

economically. Some foreign corporations and investors in resource-rich countries

engage in extractive conduct, impeding economic diversity. My family responded and is

responding to these benefits and drawbacks by; Handling the challenges very well and

savoring the positive opportunities that come in life.

Globalization in the family has political effects, and it can be positive and be

harmful. The phrase "political globalization" refers to the growing scale and complexity

of the global political system.Globalization is made up of three main components that

has received much attention in academic literature is political Globalization. On the

positive side of Globalization that has political effects on the family, political

Globalization can be seen when families discuss politics in the household, mainly while

having their dinner. People talk about politics almost everywhere, and sometimes you

can overhear bystanders talking about politics in the streets. It contributes to

international peace. It lowers the chance of invasion, increases checks on significant

powers, and limits nationalism, thus a safer and happier family. On the negative of

Globalization that has political effects on the family; In terms of representation and

accountability, the functioning of international and supranational organizations is

frequently not "democratic." Some families can be affected by this, and it needs to be

stopped. Countries can sometimes exercise their veto power over choices, slowing

down the decision-making process. Many families can be affected by these because

one wrong decision of vetoing can harm many families. My family responded and is

responding to these benefits and drawbacks by; Handling the challenges very well and

savoring the positive opportunities that come in life.

Globalization in the family has cultural effects, and it can be positive and be

harmful. Cultural globalization is a process through which the world's cultures merge.

worldwide uniformity of cultural expressions is mirrored in everyday life due to the

spread of commodities and ideas. Although homogenizing influences do occur, they are

far from resulting in a unified worldwide culture. On the positive side of Globalization,

which has cultural effects on the family, more people form online friendship groups

based on common interests. If we look at it from personal life, many people consider

these social networks family—improved comprehension of foreign values and attitudes.

There will be less stereotyping and misunderstandings about other people and cultures.

Most families in the Philippines find jobs abroad to support their families. Cultural

Globalization they can understand their culture even before the Filipinos go abroad. On

the negative of Globalization that has cultural effects on the family; Violent or dangerous

ideologies can also spread quickly (note the international character of the terror group

IS). This can get worse if you have family members that are working abroad. Some

minor civilizations may lose their distinguishing characteristics. If your family respects

the old traditions, then this will be bad news to your family. My family responded and is

responding to these benefits and drawbacks by; Handling the challenges very well and

savoring the positive opportunities that come in life.

To some extent, multiculturalism and cosmopolitanism are symptoms of cultural

Globalization. Even those who cannot travel can have a decent grasp of various

cultures and virtually meet people from other regions of the world today, as communities

are less insulated than at any previous time in history. People's attitudes and lifestyles

evolve as a result of global cultural and consumption trends. The political dimension of

the globalization debate is a newer feature, Over the last 30 years, international and

regional institutions such as the European Union (EU), the Organization for Economic

Cooperation and Development (OECD), the United Nations (UN), the World Trade

Organization (WTO), MERCOSUR in South America, and the Association of Southeast

Asian Nations (ASEAN) have increased their influence and power (ASEAN).

International and supranational players increasingly shape domestic politics.

Globalization in the family is a basic recipe for success in terms of a better world and a

better future for you and your family and all the family in the world.
