Boring Log: Silty Clay, Soft, Greyish Brown

The boring log details soil conditions at a construction site for a road project from 0-27 meters depth. Silty clay soils were found from 0-8 meters, becoming very soft and dark grey. From 11-15 meters a soft greyish black clay sand was present. A very stiff greyish brown gravelly silty clay was encountered from 17-19.5 meters. Hard brown clay silt was found at 21 meters. Standard penetration tests were conducted throughout.
