Position Sensor: Type 1

1. The document provides instructions for connecting a toroidal transformer to a power supply for a remote control system. 2. Wires from the power supply should be connected to terminals "T" and "P" on the transformer, with the order of the "P" wires not being important. 3. The transformer comes in different voltage types that connect to different colored wires on the power supply to match the nominal supply voltage.

NOTES
1.FUSES:
-PS1 is a self-resetting fuse. 3.INDICATION:
-Refer to publication PUB002-065 for approved fuses FS1 and FS2. -For typical position, status and alarm indication see PUB002-041.
-Actuator rated voltage specified on nameplate. Voltage tolerance +/-10%, -“S” contacts are user configurable and are shown in their default
applies for rated torque performance; duty cycle is not guaranteed. setting.
2.REMOTE CONTROL: -Refer to PUB002-040 for functions and configuration instructions.
-For typical remote control circuits refer to: -Monitor Relay indicates actuator availability for remote control (shown
-RWS indicated or PUB002-041. “unavailable”). It can be configured to exclude local/remote selection.
-For DC and AC control, connect –ve/0V to terminal 36. -Refer to PUB002-040 for monitored functions and configuration
-(For negative switch / positive common, refer to RWS indicated). instructions.
-Control signal threshold voltages: -Voltage applied to indication contacts must not exceed 150Vac
-DC: “on” ≥16Vdc / “off” ≤8Vdc, max 60Vdc. -Individual Switch current must not exceed 3.5A inductive, 5A resistive
-AC: “on” ≥60Vac / “off” ≤40Vac, max 120Vac. and no more than 8A in total for all 4 contacts.
-Control signal duration to be 300ms minimum.
-Maximum current drawn from remote control signals is: 4.BATTERY:
-8mA at 24Vdc or 12mA at 120Vac. -Battery maintains local and remote “S” contact indication only.
-Supply provided on terminals 4 & 5: -Refer to installation manual for approved replacement battery types.
-Intended for remote control. Circuit Diagram Number Issue Sheet
-Max external load 5W at 24Vdc / 5VA at 120Vac No
