3. Initial configuration
Login the WebUI of the HP MSM710 controller.
And accept the “License Agreement”
Then click “Register later”

Select the country and save the configuration.
Now, the default configuration page displays as below:
4. Network configuration
Click the “Service Controller” in the left, and select “Network -> LAN Port”
Configure the IP address of the LAN port or Internet port.
Then you may add VLANs in “VLAN configuration” menu. The VLANs need to be attached into the
related port.

5. AP Provisioning
Power on HP access point with default settings, AP will get a IP address from DHCP Server,
Login the WebUI of the MSM320/422 Access Point with username: admin/password:admin.
Press ‘Provision’ button
Click the ‘connectivity’ box and press save button below.

Add IP address in the right box, and click ‘Discover using IP address’.
Click ‘Discovery’ box and press save button,
Enter the location information and click ‘Location’ box.
Press save button to finish.

Restart the AP and it will connect to the controller.
6. VSC configuration
Create a new “VSC profile” in “Network Tree”
Unclick “Access control”
If using WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, please enable “Wireless protection”;
Select “WPA”;
In “Mode” field, choose “WPA” or “WPA2” or “WPA or WPA2”
In “Key source” field, select “Preshared Key” and enter the “Key”
If using 802.1x authentication, please enable “Wireless protection”;
Select “WPA”;
In “Mode” field, choose “WPA” or “WPA2” or “WPA or WPA2”

In “Key source” field, select “Dynamic”
Then the “802.1x authentication” parameters will be displayed as below.
Choose “Local” or “Remote” Radius Server.
Enter the “SSID” in “Virtual AP” field as below. Modify the “DTIM count” to “5”
Enable “WMM” in QoS field.

Now the VSC profile has been created.
7. VSC binding
If the administrator wants separate the SSID into different VLANs. It need to configure the “VSC
bindings” in the AP Group as below.
