The second son did nothing. The third son played with pets and said he didn't want the throne. When the king inspected the last son's room, it was empty except for flowers and a lamp. The last son explained that the room was filled with fragrance, light, and air. The king made the last son the new king.

THE STORY OF THE KING AND THE 4 PRINCE

A long time ago in the land of dawn there was a dying King named King Earth
and had 4 sons namely Prince Lithosphere the Eldest son, Prince Hydrosphere the
second son, Prince Biosphere third son and lastly Prince Atmosphere the youngest son
of the king. In his bed the King is thinking on how to divide his richness, but his problem
is on how to divide the wealth.

He called his sons, and gave them 5 diamonds each, and showed them four big
rooms, and said they had to fill them with whatever they can buy of that 5 diamonds. He
gave them a time of one week. The eldest brother which is Prince Lithosphere,
immediately bought all the waste from the kingdom. It was cheap and he got great
quantities of it. He filled the whole room with that garbage. With all the waste that he
bought from those 5 diamonds. He was happy that he had filled the room. Feeling
satisfied with his work, he went to see what his younger brothers was doing.

Prince Lithosphere saw his brother Hydrosphere lying down on the bath tub
doing nothing he laughed so hard and too confident on winning the kingdom, he came
to the third room and he saw his brother Biosphere just playing with his Pets and
trimming his plants and lastly he saw Prince Atmosphere just whistling on the
windowpane on the room.

Days passed King Earth came to inspect the rooms along with his ministers.
They were all eager to see what the sons had done. The eldest brother came first and
said,’ “father, come to my room first, I have filled the room fully, no corner is empty!”
Saying this he opened his room and a foul smell cake out of it, the room was stinking
with 7 days old filth, although the room was fully filled, it was full of garbage, filth and
waste and a stench of it. The king and his ministers were furious and they left the room
right away. Then the King came to the room of Prince Hydrosphere he is very
disappointed to see that Prince Hydrosphere seems like doesn’t care about the throne,
and then the King came to the third room, the room of Prince Biosphere he seems very
happy when he hears his son saying “Father, I don’t need the throne I will just help and
support who won on this competition” and lastly the King came to the last room which is
Prince Atmosphere’s room.
To his surprise, the room was empty, with nothing but an oil lamp and some
fragrant flowers in the middle of the room. The king asked, “Son, your room is empty,
what do you propose? Weren’t the diamonds enough? Weren’t the days enough? Or
were you just lazy?”

The son replied, “Father, the room isn’t empty, it is filled with fragrance of the
flowers, and the light of the lamp and cold breeze of air came from the window. Not a
single corner is empty! And here, take the remaining diamonds. The room is full of light
and fragrance.

The king hugged him and made him the king.
