Exercise 16: Before students do the exercise, read the instructions and ask questions
(How many people will speak? (2), (Carlos and Jack), What do you need to write? (the
countries they come from) etc. to make sure students are aware of what they need
to do.
Listen to find out what countries Carlos and jack come from, what they talk about.
Exercise 17:
Explain to students that the same words may not be used. Also, tell students that
they may hear a word from the question but it may not be the answer. Tell students
that it is a very good idea in listening exercises to read the questions and information

Ask students to look at the pictures of Ava, Michael and Nina,

is from Norway. Ask students not to read the text yet. Tell
students to work in pairs and answer the following question

and Nina's daily routines are similar to yours? It's a good idea
to ask students to predict before reading as it can prepare
them for the reading topic.
