ENR401 – SPEAKING QUESTIONS –2021

PART 1: 2.5 minute to 3 minutes

Each question should be presented in at least 30 seconds.

In the speaking test, there will be 05 questions for part 1.

1. Unit 1C – B2+: In what ways might you get distracted from working or studying?

2. UNIT 4B – B2+: How often do you shop for clothes?

I don’t really buy new clothes that often for myself as it usually takes a long
time to wear them down. And, unless my clothes are worn out to make them
look old, I don’t like to buy any clothes for myself. So, anyway, if you are
asking me to be precise, I would say that I buy new clothes as often as twice
or thrice a year unless I have a very good reason to buy on more occasions
than that.

3. UNIT 4C – B2+: Have you ever owed a debt of gratitude to someone?

4. UNIT 5C – B2+: Have you ever been to house-warming party? Whose? What
happened?

5. UNIT 6C – B2+: Which of the following art events would you like to go: a
photographic exhibition / a stand-up comedy / a community art project / a small gig?

6. UNIT 7A – B2+: Which event have you been to recently: a wedding / a farewell
party / a birthday party / an anniversary?

9. UNIT 7C - B2: What will you do before visiting a culture that may be very different
to yours?

● Study the culture of your destination beforehand. ...

● Converse with someone who has traveled there before. ...
● Respect the local culture. ...
● Maintain good communication. ...
● Have empathy.
10. UNIT 8C - B2: Do you like art? What kind of art do you like?

I have a lifelong passion for art since I was a child. Beside the official art class in
school, I also joined a drawing class in The Children’ House and my teachers were
very pleased with my drawings. I also participated in some drawing competitions
back then. Until now I still draw in my free time, although not as often as I used to do.

In my opinion, people love hanging landscape paintings at home. Bringing in the

beauty of Mother Nature somehow ease people’s mind after a long day at work.
Another style of drawing that most people also like is portrait. It could be portraits of
someone important to them or even their lovely pets.

PART 2: 3 minutes
01 minute for preparation + 02 minutes for your talk

In the speaking test, there will be 01 question for part 2.

UNIT 5B – B2+: 1. Describe a natural place that needs more protection.

You should say:

· Where is the place?

· What is there to see and do there?

· What are the problems which need to be solved in that place?

· What are the ways that people can help to protect the place?

· What are the benefits of protecting this place?

UNIT 7B – B2: 2. Describe a business plan that you are going to carry out.

Although nobody in my family has ever been involved in starting or running any kind
of business, I have held a secret wish in my heart since my early high school years
that one day I would start a small business to try my luck with entrepreneurship.

Of course, I wasn’t too sure about what kind of business I would start, mainly because I
thought that I would need a substantial amount of money to start a business. Besides, I
also needed some time to understand the “tricks” of business before I could take some
calculated risk in this domain.

So, I decided to wait until I actually start a job and have a first-hand experience in the
real business world. By the way, later on, I realized that one didn’t really need so much
money to start a small business, provided that he or she had a well-crated plan to
outsmart his or competitors.

But, then just before a year, after playing with a lot of small business ideas with the
scope of limited investment, I decided that I would start a fruit juice selling a business
by using the possible freshest fruits. And all I needed for that was a suitable place to
set up my business as well as some good and reliable sources of fresh fruits so that I
didn’t really have to do juggling from one fruit seller to another. But, unfortunately, I
am yet to find a suitable spot to start my fruit selling shop. On top of that, lately, I
have also been very busy with my full-time job, which leaves me very little time to
plan for the setup of my small business.

But, anyway, I would definitely like to start my business now because the longer I
wait, the more difficult it will probably become for me to start my business. After all,
the cost of starting a business keeps only rising these days, and I just don’t have the
luxury to spend extra money or wait for eternity..

UNIT 9C – B2: 3. Describe a time when you met a celebrity.

You should say:

· Who did you meet?

· When was it?

· What were you doing?

· What was the celebrity doing?

· What happened next?

· How did you feel afterwards?

PART 3: 3 minutes

or disagree?

relationships?
