An Interview With God

God is already seated at the table, the journalist walks in

Journalist: Hello

God: Hello Paul (Stretches hand to shake him)

Journalist: Are you....

God: (Cuts him off) Yes my name is God (short laugh) I go by many names really depending on the
situation

Journalist: (smiles) This is going to be interesting

(Both sits down)

(Satan guys into the scene)

Satan: Hello Father (Smiling)

God: Why are you here Satan?

Satan: (Still smiling) Come on...father I heard there was going to be an earthly gathering and decided I
was going to be present, you know I'm the life of the party

Journalist: Oh wow you're the devil now huh? (in mocking disbelief)

Satan: I am, I am the one that gave you humans freedom by asking you to eat the forbidden fruit God
was denying you, he didn't want you to be wise, he wanted you to walk around naked...imagine yourself
walking around with no pant (laughs)

God: You made man unclean

Satan: (In anger) I gave man freedom!

Journalist: ok! ok! ok! I'm sure you didn't invite me here to finally do what you should have done at the
beginning, infact I have alot of questions here, but I think I'll start with that, Why don't you just kill him,
the devil and end all our suffering?

Satan: (mockingly) because it's all a game to him, we are like little pawns in his game, where's the fun in
just killing me?

Journalist: I think you are just saying that to avoid death, but (turns to God) is that true?
God: (a little silence) when I made you, I gave you freewill, just like the angels have freewill, I gave you
the power to choose, I had the perfect plan for you for as long as you choose to walk with me, but I
didn't force this plan on you, if I did you wouldn't be like me, when you ate the fruit, you picked a
different plan, deviating from my original plan, now think about it, if I had killed satan would I not have
taken away your choice of following his plan, would you have still had freewill if I did? I decided not to
tamper with your freewill, Instead I sent my son to use his blood to reconcile you to me

Satan: (clapping) he has successfully twisted the question, but it's fine, I don't want to die yet

Journalist: interesting answer, you speak of freewill, about that, If we have freewill really, then why is
choosing to follow the devil wrong? why is it a sin when we don't follow your will if we have freewill?

Satan: chai my brother thank you (smiling)

Journalist: (Does God forbid round his head) I am not your brother in the mighty name of Jesus

God: borrow me your pen

(Journalist hands pen over to God)

God: Imagine you invented this pen, you made it to write, and then this pen decides not to write
anymore, this pen decides to instead just exist, but not write, what would you do?

Journalist: if the pen doesn't write I'll throw it away

God: Does that mean you hate the pen? didn't you initially had a good plan for the pen to write with it
for as long as you can?

Journalist: I did

God: If you figure out a way to fix this pen, like say taking ink from a drum of ink to fill it because maybe
the ink is damaged wouldn't you do it?

Journalist: I would

God: The pen could still decide not to write, that's freewill, but then it would not be of any use to you
now would it? so you'd throw it away, my will for you is not evil, but I will not force you to do it, even
though walking with me is better for you

Satan: My version of freewill gives you the option to do whatever you want without consequences, like
when I asked you to eat the fruit and you found out you were naked, that's the good life bro

Journalist: I've told you before, I'm not your bro, and what you are saying makes no sense, if there are
no consequences for actions, people would kill each other for little things, the world would be in chaos,
just keep quiet Satan!

(Turns to God)
Journalist: If you are all good, loving and kind, why do you allow bad things happen to good people?
children with cancer, countries fighting wars etc, why do you allow it?

God: Factually speaking, Satan is the cause of everything evil

Satan: I admit I am, but that's because you allow me, don't dodge the question

God: (Pause) Man is constantly looking for miracles, and I made you in my image, you are just like me, I
placed everything you need to overcome every challenge inside of you, I gave you dominion over the
earth, I cannot just intervene, that would be breaking my word, I do allow the devil to touch you
sometimes like I did Job as a test, But I never let him give you more than you can handle, other times
when bad things happen you permitted satan through your disobedience, covenants ignorance, and
when this happen, I cannot intervene unless the necessary protocols are followed, say for instance souls
from a certain part of a nation was covenanted to satan, I cannot intervene and stop the eathquake
from Happening because there was a covenant, I can only intervene and break it when an higher
covenant like what my son did on the cross is called upon, bad things don't just happen, if I allowed it,
there's a reason

Satan: It's still your fault really, you kicked me out of heaven

Journalist: (Laughs) You started a war against him, you expect him not to kick you out?

Satan: becareful mortal, you're a bloody sinner, I can twist your neck you know (angrily)

Journalist: I bind you in Jesus name

Satan: (Falls face down on table, wakes up as a different person, the satan spirit gone from his body)
Where I dey? Who una be?

Journalist: is this some sort of joke, you are Satan

Satan: me satan? (reaches for gun inside of shirt, points it at both God and Journalist) where I dey? talk
now else I go waste somebody for here

God: (waves hand, falling the gun from satan's hand magically) You permitted satan to possess you
making use of your body Richie, the devil could not have possessed you if he didn't have your
permission

(God stands up)

God: and now I must leave too, It was nice meeting you (stretch hand to shake journalist) My name is
Pastor Stephen, I gave God permission to use my body for this meeting, he left few seconds ago, this has
been an interesting interview

(God leaves the scene, satan follows)

Journalist: wow! quite interesting!
