University level during the Academic year.
1.4.2 – How the feedback obtained is being analyzed and utilized for overall development of the institution?
(maximum 500 words)
Feedback Obtained
Feedback plays a vital role in the learning experience. It helps to understand
student dissatisfaction regarding assessment, curriculum, infrastructure,
governance, administration and placement. Therefore, Internal Quality Assurance
Cell of Gujarat University designed 3600 feedback mechanism and frame work for
collecting and analysing student other stake holder’s satisfaction ratio.
Feedback forms are circulated to all stake holders i.e. students, teachers,
parents, alumni and employees. Special OMR Sheets are designed for collecting
feedback forms. OMR Sheet contains different types of questions pertaining to
curriculum curriculum delivery infrastructure learning outcomes facilities
available in the campus, about governance and management etc… collected OMR
Sheets are scanned and the analysis of the same is discussed in IQAC meeting.
Feedback analysis report is uploaded in university website. If in the analysis
any suggestions or comments are given related to any of the above mentioned
criteria in such case IQAC convey the same to the university for further
action. Feedbacks are to be collected and analysed under following criteria. ?
Students: Curriculum Designing, Teaching learning program, Administration,
Infrastructure and teachers. There are 42 key questions asked to students. ?
Alumni: The major areas covered are teaching, teachers, learning outcome,
infrastructure, administration. There are 16 key questions asked to alumni. ?
Teachers: Infrastructure, Funding, Grievance Redress, Cleanliness. There are 15
key questions asked to Teachers. ? Parents: Infrastructure, Counselling, Skill
development, Placement, Administration. There are 13 key questions asked to
Parents. The recommendation from various stake holder helps us to focus on two

2.3.2 – Students mentoring system available in the institution? Give details. (maximum 500 words)
A family culture headed by the Head of the Department is practised in the department. Though every faculty and
the head of the department is easily accessible to the students, another level of connect is facilitated through the
mentoring system. The students of all the semesters, of each course are assigned a mentor. The mentor
ensures smooth execution of academic activities for the class he / she has been assigned to. He / She looks
after proper regulation of theory and practical sessions for the class. In case any faculty is unable to conduct
lectures, the mentor is responsible for rescheduling of lectures or arranging proxy for it. The mentor acts as
interface between visiting faculties and administration and / or the students by scheduling their lectures at their
convenient times and looking that proper assignments have been given to the students. The mentor also ensures
that all the entries regarding attendance and marks of the students are updated in the portal e-sampark. He / She
addresses any problems faced by the students and forward the issues to the Head of the department who takes
needful actions. The mentors communicate with students in person as well as through a whatsapp group which
has all the students of class, all the faculty members who are teaching in the class and the Head of the
department. Whatsapp group is used when some information or rescheduling is to be notified off the timings of
the department or when the information should be in notice of all the faculty members and Head of the
department. For following activities students are mentored every year. 1. Presentation, Assignment and Project
2. Examination 3. Placement 4. Seminar, Conference Workshop 5. Research writing 6. Fellowship and
