Client Kickoff Call Prep Doc

Use this document to stay organized on your initial call with the client.

Review team members and accountabilities

Go around the room and introduce ourselves and what we do within the organization (both
client and agency).

Review client onboarding questions

Dig deep into the client’s document and ask follow up questions. I like to focus on things like:

● Resources - who do you have internally that we should be talking to, working with,
leaning on, etc (get verbal confirmation from client)
● Past campaigns - dig deep with follow up questions about their past campaign wins
and failures. Is there anything specific you’d like us to focus on when building your
project plan?
● Audience - tell me about your target audience and HOW you know they’re your
audience?
● Data accesses - can we get access to CRM or sales data?
● Past work - can we get access to work from other agencies?

Overview of project management system and file storage

Screenshare with the client (via Zoom) to show how and where we store files in Google
Drive. Let them know we’ll be updating this in real time.

● Task Level Screen / Where to find things

● Easiest way to communicate with our team (comments and conversations)
● Transparency into where we are within the project (timeline)
● Stay in alignment as our engagement progresses

Review timeline and scope

Let them know their project plan is NOT built yet, but we do have an idea of the initial
deliverables for month 1 as a part of our LEARNING process. Explain to them WHY the
learning phase is so important, emphasize PATIENCE.

Review of first month deliverables and their due dates...
