SALARY AND BENEFITS

BASE RESIDENCE Hanoi or Ho Chi Min City – your choice!
STANDARD ROSTER 5 weeks ON / 1 week OFF (5x1) OR
8 weeks ON / 2 weeks OFF (8x2)
SUPPORTING USD $500 gross per month, calculated from the first-day Crew Member participate in the training
ALLOWANCE until the date he/she is qualified to the assigned position. It is calculated based on the number of
days in a month.
If Crew Member is on duty and is paid but actual salary is lower than $500, then Crew Member
will receive a monthly payment which ensures that Gross income + Actual support allowance =
Support allowance/month.

- On an average, pilots at Bamboo Airways are currently flying 70 hours / month.
- During Covid -19 pandemic, Bamboo Airways will apply 70% of current salary until
next announcement. Pilots will be entitled to salary revision from time to time as
per BAV Airline regulation and based on flight operations situation.
Travel Support:
- Air Tickets and Accommodation during overseas training paid for airline.
14-days Quarantine in Vietnam:
- 100% cost of accommodation, meals, laundry, pick-up and transportation for
quarantine will be taken care of by the airline.
Signing Bonus:
- USD $2,000 SIGNING BONUS if arriving in Vietnam before 15 April 2021
- USD $1,000 SIGNING BONUS if arriving in Vietnam before 15 May 2021
Pilots will be entitled to per diem and hotel (depending on employee grade) from boarding date
to 1st line training date. Salary, allowances, and other benefits will commence from the date of 1st
Line Training.

PER DIEM Per Diem is applied for layovers greater than 6 hours as follows:
- Domestic: No. of layover hours /24 *49.25
- International: No. of layover hours / 24 * 78.8
During training in Finland, pilots will also receive a Per Diem Allowance.
TRAVEL Travel from home country to Finland for Simulator Training and from Finland to Vietnam upon
completing Training, will be covered by Bamboo Airways.
RELOCATION BAV will provide USD $1,000 one-time relocation allowance (maximum amount). Can include
ALLOWANCE reimbursement for moving out from previous house, paperwork for coming to Vietnam etc.
Payment will be made after the pilot finishes line training and meets qualification for flying.
ACCOMMODATIONS Hotel will be provided by BAV during training in Finland
In Vietnam, pilots will need to quarantine for 14 days at a designated hotel. Bamboo Airways will
sponsor 100% cost of accommodation, meals, laundry, pick-up, and transportation during
quarantine
ON- DUTY Transportation with comfortable seating and locker to store luggage will be provided
TRANSPORTATION
SICK DAYS Paid sick leave up to 6 days in each 6-month period and 12 days each year
OTHER LEAVE DAYS Paid Annual Leave + Public Holidays as per company policy

WORK Crew Member will be responsible to pay for all work permit / visa related costs
PERMIT/VISAS
TAX Bamboo Airways will pay for your local personal income taxes in Vietnam.
*Important and Good Information* a Tax Certificate will be provided to you indicating the
amount of taxes paid on your behalf in Vietnam. This Tax Certificate can be shown to your local
Tax Authorities/Office in your home country to avoid double taxation.
All other tax obligations such as in your home country will be the Crewmember’s responsibility.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND HOW TO APPLY:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS E190 FIRST OFFICERS
- 3,000 total flying hours on multi-crew aircraft
- 1,500 hours on type
GENERAL REQUIREMENT
- Last flight on type in the past 12 months
- E190 proficiency check needs to have been completed in the last 6 months prior
to starting - you can complete this AFTER you pass your assessments.
- Under 50 years of age for Line Captain due to Vietnamese Labour Law
- No Accident/Incident record and No Criminal record
E170, E175 or E195 type ratings are also accepted if you complete a self-financed
difference course before start of ground school!
