III. Work/Practice Exercise

TASK 1: Answer the following questions on your notebook. Copy questions before answering. Write your
name and section on top. Take a pic/scan then submit this under classwork via MS TEAMS. Due is a week
after the module was posted. (15 points)
1. What is new media consists of?

New media consist of the mass media, which includes print, radio, television, and the Internet,
encompasses all communications that transmit facts or information to citizens. Local, network,
cable, and satellite television are just some of the options.

2. How is traditional media different from new media?

I would say traditional & new media are the different side of same coin. The purpose sort by both
of them are same it just the platform is different. Broadly, we can say, traditional includes
advertising & print coverages, electronic media. The know the result & impact it is not easy.
reflected by the use to online media like - social media, digital marketing.

The traditional media method includes non-digital marketing and advertising techniques, such as
radio advertising, print advertising, direct mail advertisements, banner ads, magazines and door-to-
door sales. On the other hand, new media is conversational between consumer and business and it
usually includes content marketing, digital marketing/email marketing, and social marketing.

3. Who partakes in the new media usage?

I could say Youth partakes the new social media usage. Comparing to their parents social life, It is
totally different. These days we revolve around social media even the youngsters was immediately
partakes the use of technology, social media platform rather.

TASK 2: On your ePortfolio/blog website. Discuss about the topic: “What is my favorite gadget?”. The blog
should have at least 200 words, with pictures and background. Due is on the second week after the module
was uploaded. (20 points)
TASK 3: Choose a partner. Create an Inforgraph about the convergence, transition, and synergy of
traditional media to new media. Due is on the second week after the module was uploaded. (25 points)
