Scenario

Now adays Mobilie Banking has transformed the way people do their financial transactions around the
world. This concept is becoming increasingly popular in the banking industry of Sri Lanka as well as
among the banking customers.

Changing customer preferences along with rapid and continuous advancement of Technology and
Technology accessibility among people has prompted financial institutions to introduce alternate
service channels in place of traditional brick and mortar branches. Number of banks in Sri Lanka have
already introduced Mobile Banking apps and many banks also are in the process of introducing them.

However, banking customers do not find these apps very convenient and user friendly to use all the
time. These Mobile Banking apps can be further improved for an enhanced Customer Experience and
convenience.

The Banks in Sri Lanka have formed an association and are looking for ways to further improve their
existing Mobile Baking apps as well as to come up with more innovative Mobile Banking solutions
through the use of Artificial Intelligance. For this purpose, they wish to obtain the services of a Project
Management Consultancy company. Through this project, they intend to obtain expert
recommendations for the above by introducing the concept of Artificial Inteligence.

The association has selected Atom Consultants, a leading IT Project Management consultancy
company, which is the company you are working for, in order to work on this project.

Your initial task in this project is to select a bank of your choice who is currently providing Mobile
Banking services or will provide Mobile Banking services in future to their customers.
(Note:For the purpose of this assignment you can pick any local bank of your choice).

Thereafter, you are assigned with the project of providing expert recommedations on
improving their current Mobile Banking app or to come up with more innovative Mobile
Banking solutions by adding possible AI elemets to them. As a major part of this project, you
are required to carryout a small-scale research which would provide you with valuable information and
build a solid foundation for your project.

The above project assignmnet has been broken down for you as tasks to be carried out as follows:

Task 01 (LO1)

1.1 Establish the aims and objectives for your Project . (P1)

Important: For this section, you are required to clearly list down the aims of your project
and the objectives of your project.

1.2 Define the scope of your project. (P3)

found from different secondary data sources, in relation to your research. All your data

What is a project?
The project used resources for achieve aims of the company or organization. That is sequence of
planned activities as requirements and planned specific time frame for project. That consist several
entities as follow,
1. Banking Customer
2. Bank owner (Manager)
3. Developer
4. End user

IPMS (International project management association) and PMI (Project management institute) are
related association of the project. It need to gathering information, planning, as requirements, design,
testing and maintains after put in to the practical use. These are stages of the project.
What is project management?
That is the Method for understanding the issue in the project. That used for manage scope, time, cost
and quality. Project management is directly involving reach to the aim easily. As well as
stakeholders are most important to the project management.
1.1. Establish the aims and objectives for your Project . (P1)

In spite of the fact that the understood point of most ventures is to advance health and well-being for
their clients, a few have particular points, for illustration, finding or work or educating natural
cultivating methods. It is useful to have a clear view of these objectives and to test the performance
of projects with these in minds, also, to review those aims and objectives periodically and modify
them if required. For example, if the project has been set up to help clients find employment it does

items or administrations can be a great reason to make a versatile app.

practical use. There is more problem will come to the user. Management should be planned to give
solution as that situation. And need give guidelines to user about process.
The most important thing is deadline. This project should be finished before expected date and
duration should not extend within deal and should be deliver completed project for user.
We planned to finish this project during the 6 th month covering all task. Final goal is give
best customer service and increase the company income.
