Ladakh Tour (5Nights/6Days)

Himalayan Travel Studio presents the nicely crafted shortest duration tour to Ladakh. This tour
will cover the major attractions of Ladakh in the shortest number of days possible. We will visit
some of the beautiful monasteries in and around Leh. This will serve as an introduction to the
rich heritage of Tibetan Buddhism in Ladakh. We will visit Sangam, the confluence of Indus and
Zanskar Rivers. Next we have Nubra Valley, known as the valley of flowers in Ladakh, and will
drive over the world’s highest motorable road- Khardungla Pass. In Nubra we will get to see and
ride the Bactrian camels, visit Deskit monastery which houses the largest statue of Maitreya
Buddha in Ladakh. Also we will visit Pangong Lake, undoubtedly the prime attraction of our
trip. Pangong Lake is the largest brackish lake in Asia and two-third of it is in China. The lake
dances with the sunlight to produce myriad of colors on its surface during the day. The journey
takes you through scenic and stunning landscape and certainly every moment of the
destinations as well as the route that takes you to these destinations become picture-postcard
moments!

Day 1- Arrive in Leh, tour briefing and acclimatization

Day 2- Excursion of Sangam, Magnetic Hill, Hall of Fame, Spituk Monastery and Shanti Stupa

Day 3- Drive from Leh to Nubra Valley

Day 4- Drive from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake

Day 5- Drive from Pangong Lake to Leh

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1- Arrive Leh

Arrive in Leh. You will be received and escorted to your hotel by our representative. Complete
rest is suggested for the first day. It is important for you to get acclimatized, so that you can
enjoy the rest of the days without any problem. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2- Excursion of Sangam and Monastery Visit

Today we will go on a day’s excursion to Sangam, the confluence of Indus and Zanskar Rivers.
We will make a stop at the Magnetic Hill on the way. On our way back to Leh we will visit Pathar
Sahib Gurudwara, Spituk Monastery and Hall of Fame, a museum maintained by the Indian
Army showcasing the military history in Ladakh. In the evening we will visit the Shanti Stupa for
the beautiful sunset view of Leh town. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3- Leh- Nubra Valley

Today after breakfast we will start our drive to Nubra Valley, crossing over one of the highest
motor-able roads in the world, Khardungla Pass (18380ft). From Khardungla Pass we can see
the beautiful villages dotted along the Indus River on Leh side and the mighty mountains of the
East Karakoram belt on the Nubra side. We will make stops at all viewpoints along the beautiful
route. En route we will visit Deskit Monastery and the highest statue in Ladakh- Maitreya
Statue. In the evening visit the Sand Dunes at Hunder. Optional Camel Safari at the sand dunes.
Overnight at Camp/Hotel.

Day 4- Nubra Valley- Pangong Lake

Today we will drive from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok route. This newly opened
route along the Shayok River is one of the most fascinating drives in Ladakh. The serenity and
tranquility of Pangong Lake will mesmerize you in every aspect. Enjoy a nice walk along the
Lake in the evening. Overnight at Camp/Hotel

Day 5- Pangong Lake – Leh

In the morning we are at leisure to explore the beauty of the Lake. After breakfast drive back to
Leh via Changla Pass. Reach Leh by lunch so that you can have some time in the evening to grab
some souvenirs for your friends/family back home. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 6- Fly from Leh

You will be escorted to Leh Airport for your onward flight. Tour Ends
