Application for Irrigation Systems in Sindh

INVITATION OF APPLICATION FROM THE INTERESTED


FARMERS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF DRIP, BUBBLER &
SPRINKLER IRRIGATION SYSTEMS.
Government of Sindh is launching a Pilot Project for the Promotion of
Water Conservation Technologies through the introduction of High Efficiency like Drip,
Bubbler and Sprinkler Irrigation Systems and construction of small water storage tanks
for a crop area of about 5 acres.
Application are invited from the interested Farmers/Groups of Farmers
meeting the following requirements for the installation of these Systems on their fields.

1- Farmers are willing to adopt New Technologies.


2- Farmers are willing to enter in to agreement with the Government.
3- Proposed Field should be fit for the installation of these systems.
4- Soil and Topography should be suitable for long term Agriculture
production.
5- Propose Site should be easily accessible for Demonstration purpose.
6- Farmers are willing to contribute 20% of the cost of system.
Individual Farmers would be allowed to install these systems on 5 to 10
acres where a group of at least Five (5) Farmers would be allowed to install these Systems
on 50 acres.
Interested Farmers / Farmers Groups are required to submit their
application along with a fee at the following rate:
Individual Farmers ( 5 to 10 ) Acres Rs. 2000/ acre
Farmers Group 50 Acres Rs. 100000/=
Water Storage Tanks Rs. 5000/=
The application fee is Refundable /Adjustable towards cost contribution.
Application fee is payable in the form of Demand Draft, Payable to the
Director, On Farm Water Management Sindh Hyderabad. The application would be
treated on first come first serve basis and subject to the approval of Selection Committee
as envisaged in the project PC – I. However, the competent authority reserved the right to
accept or reject any or all applications without assigning any reason. The applications
may be addressed to the Director On Farm Water Management Sindh, Main Hussainabad
Road, Hussainabad Hyderabad.
