Switch off the main switch or disconnect the negative battery cable.
Note: Make sure the parking brake is applied.
Drain the pneumatic system.
Use special tool 9992976.

If the vehicle is equipped with retarder or gearbox cooler
Place a collection vessel under the engine. Connect drain hose 9996049 to the drain nipple for coolant. Drain the
coolant.

Hang the propeller shaft from the crossmember.

Install a pit jack(A).
Fix the gearbox with a strap.
If necessary install wedges(B)

Pull the gearbox backwards until the input shaft is free of the pressure plate. Lower the gearbox.
