What’s meant by
1. Electric current Flow of electrons in a conductor from point to point.
2. Electric current it’s quantity of electricity (charge) in coulombs that passes
intensity : through a given cross section in one sec.
3. Potential difference It is the work done in joules = 12 joule. to transfer charge
= 12 V of 1 coulomb between the 2 points.
4. Volt : It is potential difference between 2 points, if the work
done of 1 joule is used to transfer charge of 1 coulomb
between them’.
5. Ampere : It is current intensity through a circuit when charge of 1
coulomb flows in a given cross section in 1 sec.
6. Real current : “It is movement of electrons (-ve charges) from –ve end to
the + ve end of conductor’
7. Ohm's Law : At constant temperature, current intensity in a given
conductor is directly proportional to the potential
difference
8. Resistance : It is ratio between potential difference and the current
intensity.
9. Ohm : It’s resistance of a conductor allowing current intensity of
1ampere to pass when the pot difference applied is 1 volt.
10.Specific resistance It is the resistance of a substance of 1 m length, 1m2 cross
or resistivity : section area at const. Temp
