I. INTRODUCTION
Sirte Oil Company (SOC) is located in Brega Sirte LIBYA, intend to refurbish tow single deck floating roof
type crude oil Tanks TK2&7; Outside diameter 200 ft, Height 48 ft, Capacity 268,000 bbl.
Jabel Oil Services (JOS) Company (private Libyan Company) located in Seyahiya, Tripoli – LIBYA,is
selected as BIDDER to do this job, this project is required to be executed involving all required detailed
Engineering, Supply and Construction, hydrotest, Pre-commissioning Commissioning and Start-up
activities.
Tanks TK2&7 require a major re-build to bring them back to a fully serviceable condition. This work will
entail a totals replacement of the tank floor, annular ring, floating roof, firefighting system, roller stair and
associated equipment. In addition, the tanks will require a total repainting.
All equipment, material and labor required to carry out the complete scope of work will be provided by JOC
as required By SOC.

Brega is located in the Sirte basin’s largest and most important oil field. field covers a large area.

II. SCOPE OF THE DOCUMENT
The document describes the shell inspection report for the two crude oil tanks TK 2&7, located at Marsa
Elbriga in Libya, which was carried out from March 13th to April 8th 2021 and from June 23rd to July 15th
by GETS Engineers.
The purpose of this document is to collect all technical data related to TK 2&7 shells components, such as;
design, dimensions, type of material, noticed defects and estimated material quantity for shell reparation in
accordance with the SOW requirements.

- Shell plates: Approx. 20 small holes and 4 big holes.
- Severe external pitting and corrosion was noted on the shell to
wind girder welding joint,50% of wind girder is corroded.
- Stair way external pitting and corrosion was noted on all
structure.
- Shell attached piping support are in overall satisfactory
condition.
- All Shell nozzles and man-way are in satisfactory mechanical
condition.
- The tank level indicator was damaged.
