What is self-awareness?
• Self awareness is having a clear perception of your personality,
including strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, beliefs, motivation, and
emotions. Self Awareness allows you to understand other people,
how they perceive you, your attitude and your responses to them in
the moment.
• Self-awareness is the ability to focus on yourself and how your
actions, thoughts, or emotions do or don't align with your internal
standards. If you're highly self-aware, you can objectively evaluate
yourself, manage your emotions, align your behavior with your
values, and understand correctly how others perceive you.
Example:
•Being able to focus on something •Learn about your emotional
positive when in a negative triggers, so you can better deal

Describe yourself to another person without mentioning anything
external in your life, just concentrate on yourself how you feel and
behave, recognize some of your strengths and weaknesses. Now stand
up from your seat to your neighbor and describe yourself to him /her.

What is self-management?
•Self-management is our ability to manage our behaviors, thoughts,
and emotions in a conscious and productive way.
•Self-management means you understand your personal responsibility
in different aspects of your life, and you do what you need to fulfill that
responsibility.
•Self-management is the ability to recognize your emotions and control
the behaviors sparked by those emotions. (I.e a person showing self-
management is able to calm down, not yell or act out, in moments of
anger or frustration)
