Course Description

Human resource practitioners must have the knowledge on the rights and obligations of employers and
employees and able to apply the Malaysian employment legislations at the workplace. Students are taught
on how to analyze and solve the current employment issues through lectures, class discussions, and
collaborative learning. This course will emphasize the application of the current employment legislations
at the workplace.

Course Objectives

At the end of this course, the students will be able to:

1. Discuss the rights and obligations of both employers and employees under various Malaysian
employment legislations (PLO1, C2).

2. Analyze the application of various Malaysian employment legislations (PLO4, C4).

3. Present ideas to identify legal and managerial issues in managing human resources (PLO7, A2).
